Around 6:30 on September 16th, a car needed a tow at the Jack in the Box on 18th Street. FOUR Miller's tow trucks raced each other to get there. I was nearly sideswiped by one going at least 75mph on TC Jester, watched him blow a red light and make an illegal u-turn in front of oncoming traffic. And that was the last of the four there. Insane, and incredibly dangerous. If the police won't stop these people, at least we can read the signs on the sides of the trucks and not patronize them.

My car broke down on 610, 1.7 miles from the shop. I called 311 and asked for a safe clear wrecker and the city sent a Miller's truck. Since I clearly needed a repair and they were there I just decided I'd let them do it. The repair shop never called me. I called nearly every day for 2 weeks. More often than not I would call and the receptionist would say the mechanic was out and he'd have to call me back. No one would return my calls so I'd call back several hours later or the following day. When I was able to talk to someone they would come up with ridiculous excuses as to why the work was taking so long. In the end it took 2 weeks to perform a job that should have taken a day, I know how long it takes because I had similar work done to a previous car 2 years ago. When I picked up the car they did not provide me with any paper work for the repair. They did not offer a warranty or guarantee on their work and only provided an itemized list of labor and parts upon request. Upon inspection of said list I found that they had charged me $100 for tow that was (mostly) paid for by the city as part of the safe-clear program. In a word: ridiculous. Save your time and money. Don't bring your car here.

Good: They were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure I had a ride and the car was ready when promised.. Bad: I was happy with all the service I got from Miller's but I was not so happy I had to take the car into be repaired because my daughter wrecked the car. Guess that has nothing to do with Millers.. Improvements: I could not see how they could improve. Rob was great and I would recommend having him oversee your repairs if you have to take your car in.. Other: My experience was very good. I cannot speak for others but Rob was very attentive to my needs and kept me informed about the repairs. The insurance company did not figure all the damage in on the initial repair estimate and Rob handled all the followups with the insurance company and I did not have to worry about it. I only had to pay the exact amount of my deductible and they did not try to get me to pay anything extra. They returned the car much cleaner than my daughter ever kept it. I would use them.

After days of calling them over and over (no one would talk to me), they finally gave me an estimate. they told me it would be done the next day around lunch. well, long story short...it wasn't finished. When it finally was finished, the final price was substantially higher than the estimate they gave me. shady place...avoid it if possible!

while on the way to a wreck without his lights on, Millers Auto & Body wercker with license T53 88E passed me on 290 outbound in the right shoulder to exit at 34th. I was almost side-swiped while trying to get into the right exit lane which wasn't accessible to anyone yet, it was just the shoulder. I am calling Houston's Safeclear program to report this wreckless driving. Based on their wreckers' driving I would never trust Millers Auto & Body to work on my car.
