I have dealt with 3 or 4 answering services in my lifetime, and A-1 is one of 3 I was disappointed with. They weren't as bad as the Call Board though. The operators at A-1 were friendly and helpful, but I got really tired of calling in for messages when I had to and getting put on hold for 7 minutes without anyone coming back to me and telling me they haven't forgotten about me. I really didn't appreciate the "hold on we are busy" I was told once by an operator. If you are too busy to handle what I pay you to do, then I'll just find someone else to do it for me. I was 50/50 with A-1, they weren't totally terrible, but when they were they made up for all the good days they had.

A-Bear is possibly the worst motel I've ever had the misfortune at staying at, and that's saying a lot. The room is dirt cheap, but there is a reason it is cheap, like most things. Upon arrival, the bed wasn't made, and the A/C unit seemed to be out of order so they put me in a different room..beforehand I asked them to change the bed while I watched. Most people who go here are the lowlifes of societies..prostitutes and drug dealers. That night I saw a giant roach in the bathroom and there apparently was someone getting busy in the room next to me because that's what I heard all night long. I don't think I've ever been more scared that the police would come pushing down my door in some sort of routine raid on the place. Don't go to A-Bear, unless you are used to and don't mind staying at places that are hazardous to your health.

I've sent family members and friends from out of town on this and they couldn't say enough great things about it. They were disappointed when they got to Houma and didn't see any real swamp area like you see on TV. Going on this tour allowed them to see a lot of wildlife in it's natural habitat-much better than any soo. Plus, the guide is really friendly. Not to be missed for out-of-towners!

They have been in Houma for a long time, so you know they are trustworthy and reliable. They have so many options to choose from, and can let you choose your own also. You can also rent limos from this place, which is really cool added bonus. As with all Travel agents though, you should check around for find the best deal before determining the particular vacation package you are going to choose. A World of Travel knows this, maybe that is one reason they will go out of their way to try to find the best that's right for your budget!

A World of Travel has always been my choice for travel planning. When you go there, they are very helpful in answering all of your questions. They also seem to have your best interests in mind and will even point out cheaper options for you. I have had no problem with them finding me flights that I have found online and they offer me about the same price. Just bring them the flight information you find.

Dr. Abou-Issa is an outstanding and competent physican in all of the Terrebonne parish. Dr. Abou-Issa saved a member of our family from dying of an illness that many doctor's could not diagnose. After visiting several physicians in and around New Orleans, they could not find what was wrong with her. A friend of the family recommended Dr.Abou-Issa, which at this point her health was deteriorating, and much to our surprise he diagnosed her with the "West Nile virus!"
Thanks to Dr. Abou-Issa's competency he saved her life.
I recommend him to anyone near and far.

Academy has great shoe selection and in the weekly sales paper there is a section of shoes on sale. I have found several great pairs of shoes at Academy. In fact, I picked up my youngest daughter 2 pairs of Adidas at Christmas last year, for ten bucks a pair. This is even cheaper than walmart.
My husband and son go to Academy for rubber boots and hunting boots as well, a wide selection at the most affordable prices around.
When I needed steel toe boots for work, I searched all over town, from Wal-mart all the way to the boot shops where prices go into the hundreds. Finally I had the bright idea of Academy. There was about 10 pairs of boots there for woman, prices starting at 20 bucks. I did buy my work boots at Academy, 4 months ago and have been very pleased.

We attended a birthday party here and the kids had a blast! The skating rink is big and we had no problem with the little ones skating with older children. Even if you’ve never skated before, you will have a great time, and they play pretty good music to get you going. There are traditional roller skate as well as roller blades available for rental and they are quite inexpensive. Go here for a great afternoon!
