If you like Dark Roast coffee Starbucks is great; the service is excellent as well, and contrary to popular opinion prices are typically within a few cents of local competition. The trick to nearly all well run cafés is to avoid espresso or frozen drinks if you don't want to drop $5 on a drink. The pastries etc. are also very good, if pricey (to contrast with not so good, but pricey). Price aside, they consistently provide quality. They only really miss out on my business on evenings when other local shops stay open later, or if they are overcrowded—which I'm assuming is more my problem than theirs.

Outback has to be one of the best, resonably priced steak houses around. From the salad, onion mums and steaks everything is great here. They have a special for 12.99 which comes with a side and a salad. It is so juicy it melts in your mouth. This is one cut of meat that its not like chewing a shoe bottom!
