If you like Dark Roast coffee Starbucks is great; the service is excellent as well, and contrary to popular opinion prices are typically within a few cents of local competition. The trick to nearly all well run cafés is to avoid espresso or frozen drinks if you don't want to drop $5 on a drink. The pastries etc. are also very good, if pricey (to contrast with not so good, but pricey). Price aside, they consistently provide quality. They only really miss out on my business on evenings when other local shops stay open later, or if they are overcrowded—which I'm assuming is more my problem than theirs.

Starbucks is known for it's coffe yet some of their items are over looked...like for instance their hot chocolate. MMM MMM good. It is just rich and on a cold day it warms your bones.
