My brother loves going to Toys N Joys for the latest games and toys available. They are a small, well-run company with a good selection on cards and other collectibles. They also sell a lot of japanese anime products - models, posters, stuff animals, etc. It is probably one of the few ones on the island selling a combination of american and japanese items. So if you're looking for something in particular, give Toys N Joys a shot.

My brother used to love going to Jungle Fun located in the Ala Moana Shopping Center. They have a full arcade inside with games for all ages to play or watch. The prizes are fun and of better quality than those offered at Fun Factory. I think Jungle Fun is perfect for the mall so the kids can stay there to play and have a good time while their parents do some shopping.

I bought several t-shirts from this store for my family back home. I bought the Hawaiian style t-shirts with canoes and a sail made of the Hawaiian flag. I really like these t-shirts and you can't find them anywhere else. My relatives really liked these shirts and wear them often. They are quality made and their designs are very nice. The salespersons in this store were very helpful. There was ample parking when I went to the Ward Center.

Software Etc. is one of the few specialized Video Game retailers in Hawaii. Because of this, they often charge a couple dollars more for games even though the MSRP is lower. Usually you can tell them that the price is supposed to be lower but sometimes they won't recognize it and still charge you the inflated price. I recommend going to Toys N Joys instead for video games.
PROS: One of the few specialized Video Game retailers in Hawaii
CONS: Often higher prices than MSRP.
