It has actually moved to the Mariott. Its still the best sushi I have ever had and I have had a lot of sushi. My friends and I agree Sansei literally has the most amazing sushi in the world. Genki's and sushiman don't even begin to compare. Nor does Pagoda or any other restuarant in terms of good sushi. The best part about this place is that all their sushi is half off on two days between something like 5 and 6 (check website for details). The catch is that one you have to be a resident of hawaii, and that you must order by a certain time. Lines start to form about a half-hour before doors open. I once got there forty-five minutes prior and was first in line. They come out about fifteen minutes prior to take sushi bar requests. Despite many people not liking to eat at the sushi bar, I would say take it because its so much better. If you take sushi bar you get seated first and when you want to order you tell it straight to the sushi chefs. Thus, your order is alwaysin first and if you think they're slow you can just tell them without ever tracking your waitress or waiter down. Also, I'd say in teh wait outside the restaurant look at the menu and know what your immediately going to order. WE typically go in rounds of ordering because everything is typically shared family style. We go with four rolls off the bat for four people and tell the chefs immediately when we get in. If you don't get your initial order in quickly you probably will regret it when the chefs get backed up with tons of orders. Thats the basic advice. You'll be super glad you went here. Seriously, the sushi is the best in the states.
