I admit this review is a few years old, but when my family went there the service was terrible. We had to get our own water numerous times. We left a tip of 10% because of the service and the waiter came back and asked for more tip. Can you believe that. My dad, old Japanese man, gave him the extra tip! I didn't know until after we left. This has to be the best Cantonese / Hong Kong style restaurant in town. I have tried numerous Chinese restaurants during my annual visits, and I found this restaurant's food quality to be consistently good and of best value. Make sure you try their lobsters! They are *always* on sale and they taste good! Also try their drunken clams. If you like to challenge yourself, try their Deep Fried Large Intestine. Excellent value and quality! Make sure you arrive early for prompt seating. Pros: Value, Consistency, Food quality Cons: Long wait time, Few large tables

I love this restaurant because of its liveliness! There is normally a long waiting line that is even coming outside of the restaurant. But when a restaurant is crowed, you know that the foods must be good because they are fresh!! Especially when eating seafood, we must pick the most crowded place, and Fook Yuen is the place to go! I like to also go there with a large group of people. Chinese foods just taste better when eating with more people. You get to eat different kinds of dishes and sharing foods with more people simply add a taste to it. To the least downside to their foods are, they were a bit too salty in general. So, if you already know it, just ask to go easy on salt when ordering! And make sure to drink lots of Chinese tea!!

Fook Yuen Seafood Restaurant is one of good chinese restaurant in my list that i would recommend both tourists and locals to go. The food is perfect! Everything tastes really good! the restaurant is always crownded. I suggeset you to call to make a reservation, especially dinner time. They also have a special deal for $9.99 lobster. you can tell the waiter how you want to cook the lobster. for example, salt&pepper or black bean sauce or Ginger & green onion. Great for family parties and dine in .... However, the price is a bit pricey compare to other chinese restaurants around. But, i think it's worth to pay for such a great food like that. Not too far from Waikiki There are also free parking as well. Enjoy ! The location is also great, lots of parking.

If Chinese people eat at this restaurant, it must be good! Or maybe it is because of their $9.99 lobster special? Either way, this restaurant produces one of the best sit-down chinese restaurants in town. I always go there for family parties and dine in the small banquet room. The food is priced higher than most but lower than the high end chinese restaurants. The location is also great, lots of parking.
