My friends and family used to enjoy going to Kim Chee II all the time and we would order their meat jun and barbeque chicken. The meat jun used to be fork tender and the best in town. During the last two visits, our meat jun has been very tough. It was quite disappointing and their portions have gotten to be smaller. I don’t know if their other dishes have also gone down in quality. Anyone have any comments?

Forget that they have great kal bi, bbq chicken, and bulgogi--the real star here is the meat jun. Unlike the rest of the lot that uses just plain egg to batter their meat, Kim Chee II uses some kind of batter that results in a brown and fluffier coating that encases tender slices of meat--and the dipping sauce (of which they supply more than enough for) is not just plain old shoyu, sugar and vinegar. I actually can't say what's in it because I don't know but it's so much better (not as "vinegary" a little sweet salty and a bit of spice). If it was my last meal as a condemned prisoner, i'd be happy :).
