my favorite stylist by far here is sean nakama. definitely gives me some of the best haircuts i've ever had, though for a pretty penny. i've also had a massage here. the room was too brightly lit, sterile looking and the massage mediocre. not a relaxing atmosphere and definitely not worth the money i shelled out. so since i'm rating it as a salon AND day spa, i split the difference and gave it 3 stars.

Paul Brown is very reputatable and keeps their employees top notch. I heard they train their employees for 1-2 years before letting them cut and color hair by themselves so that says a lot about their company's main concerns. The price is probably one of the highest on the island but when you get a haircut or color your hair there, people can totally tell the difference that you got it done "professionally."

I usually have a hard time finding a place to get my haircut. Because of their great reputation I went there. They always give me what I want and everyone is very nice too. Whenever I'm in town (I'm in the Mainland now) I'll get a haircut since I don't know when I'll get it cut again. The price does seem high but if you don't get your hair cut too often it really doesn't matter. If you have short hair or if you're a guy, the price may bother you since you'd probably have to go more often. Unless you want to experiment and go looking for that perfect hairdresser, you won't go wrong going to Paul Brown's.

I've got a haircut and body massage before at this place and i was satisfied with their service for how much I paid. The haircut was around $40 for me, and the service was good. What I love about this location at Ala Moana Blvd is the Spa aroma I smell as soon as I go in front of the store! That smell alone can relax my mind and body!
