What a perfect place! A simply beautiful resort hidden deep in the Kahala/Hawaii Kai area. I had occasion to experience it a few times and each time was a pleasure. I dined at the Plumeria Cafe and the food was delicious. Quality, exception presentation and service. And the maitais are super strong! I'll need to save up some more money for my next trip there. I heard the Orchids Rest. is awesome too.

Its such a great hotel. Even if the food is horrible to anyone which it is not you can ditch the food and be at the beach in less than a minute. Also, the dophins outside make simply the trip worth it. This is what I would consider a decadent place. Meaning that if you are looking for plain old chocolate cake you will not encounter it here. It is very much of high end very upscale food. The Chinese Chicken salad is personally my favorite. The deserts are huge here. They have a somewhat limited selection compared to super buffets but they always have about eight deserts to try at any given time. The food is very good and the hotel itself is worth the drive

My husband and I spent our wedding night at the Kahala Mandarin -- quite memorable! We felt like royalty. We had an ocean view and the dolphin lagoon was right below us. Our room (including bathroom!) was romantic and lush. We had our own slippers and plush robes, plus a complimentary bottle of champagne. We ordered room service and I must say that the shrimp pasta that I had was probably the best I'd ever had in my life. It was definitely an experience in indulgence and I would love to stay there again.

The 5 diamond resort offers the security that you will have the best care avaialbe, and the unique massages available will leave you feeling rejuvinated. I recommend the massage at the beach cabana as well. Enjoy!
