I stayed here for the first time recently and it was terrific. The room is not that big but we got upgraded from the 4th floor to the 17th floor so that was a big bonus for us and it raised my impression of the staff. There is a balcany, a wall separting the bedroom from the sink and the bathroom , and a television in an aimoire. We used the pool and they had a Jacuzzi but we were so close to everything we decided to eat out rather than in the hotel. Right below the hotel is Macys. Right next to the hotel on the other side is the International shopping center. And right across is the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. So although it is not right on the beach, it is the perfect spot for shopping.

I have stayed at the Beachcomber several times and have not been disappointed. The location is excellent- not on the beach, but only 297 steps away from it. It is in the heart of Waikiki and close to several shops & restaurants. The parking fee is kind of steep, but where isn't it in Waikiki?! The staff is very helpful and courteous. The rooms are fine.
