cindy's is great when you don't want to deal with parking in chinatown, but know what you want. here's what you do: you call them, tell them what kind of lei you want, or your price range and a general idea of what you want (if it's not a holiday and they're not super busy, they're actually great at helping you pick something out over the phone). you can charge to your credit card or bring exact change, tell them what color, make/model of car you have and then pick your lei up curbside and say bye-bye! gotta love that! they don't have the most original leis, but they definitely have a good selection of beautiful ones.

I wanted to send a very special arrangement to my sister who knows and appreciates unique flowers arrangements. She said that Rainforest’s arrangement were the most beautiful one she had ever seen! Michael, the owner, inserted orchids, unusual green flowers and “star-wars-like” flowers that he grows himself into this spectacular arrangements. A bit pricey, but worth every penny in making somebody feel extraordinarily special. I ordered this arrangement over the telephone, site unseen and Micheal did not disappointment me. Thank you Micheal.

Whenever I go there is always a class going on and what's better, classes are sometimes free. You can learn things from lei makng to decoupage, to sewing, to painting.
When you get there, the parking is very limited and tight so make sure you are a good driver and park on the street.
Once you get there, you always see sale items on carts oustide the store. It is usually quite picked over or stuff that is out of season so unless you use it to save for the future, it isn't really that great of a sale.
However, once you get inside, there is such a huge selection of items to choose from. There are several cashiers so you don't have to really wait in line long to pay, and there is usually somebody walking around so it is easy to find help if you need it.
Althoug prices area a little high, they do have great sales so be sure to check it out. Also, be sure to check newspapers for adds and ask the sales clerks for when the next big bag sale will be. You will end up getting items at huge discounts.

I have been using these folks to send flower to my mom and wife quit a bit over the years. They have a variant rose known as the Kamuela Rose, grown on the Big Island of Hawaii. They are very close to where I used to work, which is why I use them less now hahaha. But the good stuff about them is they include a small box of chocolates with their arrangements and have a custom box for holding the vase and chocolates! Very nice touches.

but i can't b/c they have absolutely the worst customer service and rude help of any lei shop i've ever been in! the younger assistants aren't so bad, but the owner or whoever the older folks are just don't get that nobody wants to work with or buy from somebody who can't extend basic etiquette.
that said, they do have beautiful, creative leis, which is why i want to give them more stars. if i have the time and i'm walking, i'll usually stop by here just to look in case i don't find anything better. but i'd rather go to cindy's or lin's where i won't get snapped at or treated like dirt.

I had to put this down when I read the Pearl City store review. The location is relatively "convenient", in that it's in town. The parking lot is awkward to maneuver in however, and the store itself is dingy and dark. The customer service is on the edge of rude, mostly unhelpful and their return policy is horrible. Their selection is okay, I can't say much about their sales b/c I've never been to one, but after my last experience there, I'm not going to ever shop there unless I have to.
