A friend of mine take me to Lewers Lounge for my birthday drink and it was one of the most romantic lounges I've ever been to. It was a very chill place with big lounge chairs and live performance. A lady serenaded and the music volume was just right. The lights dimmed very nicely and the service was perfection.
The lounge caters to mainly to the higher class people so it does not tend to get crowded. I highly suggest taking your date to this lounge if you want to share in each other's company and relax.
They really have the best maitais on the island! It does cost about $11-12 for one.

Everything that we've tried has been delicious. What can you say when they make their own pizza dough & pastas. We've tried almost everything on the menu...clams, anitpasto platter, the papaya & prosciutto platter, gorgonzola & apple pizza, the duck pizza, panna cotta, guavatini, & the risotto---they wheel out a half dome of parmesan reggiano to your table & scoop out your cheese for you!!! They also make their own foccacia bread--it's warm & yummy, they keep bringing out to your table! Their other restaurant serves the same menu & is better for big groups. Outdoor seating is great in the evenings, w/the tiki torches, they are both great people watching location.
Pros: friendly staff, delicious cocktails, thin crusted pizzas
Cons: busy during dinners, limited space/seating

More
Bob's son Charlie has brought the family's pride of Maui to the "city" and has done it right. It has to be the best breakfast in Hawaii, a wonderful place for lunch and the best of the best for dinner. The waiters describe the menu and preparation of each item. The chef will prepare your favorites even when not on the menu. Super service and classy. This relatively new (to Honolulu) restaurant is "the" place to be. Trendy bar there too.
Pros: Charlie, Ted, Cuisine
Cons: none, less than none, much less than none

Cafe Sistina is all about wonderful northern Italian cuisine. The owner Sergio is an artist NOT only in the kitchen but on the murals that he has created on all the walls. Truly amazing works. Space is very trendy and chic. There is entertainment on the weekend and a full bar service. Prices are reasonable for the experience.

I'm from the Northeast, my gf is from NYC, and we can vouch that Antonio's is without a doubt the best pizza in the state of Hawaii. Nothing comes close, and most island pies are straight up inedible. Antonio's is excellent pizza, more in the CT style than NY, but still leagues above anything you can get out here. Highly recommended!!

Went to Chai's Island Bistro last week and WOW!!! My friend wanted to listen to Hawaiian music and I heart that the brothers Cazimero performed there. We choose to sit outside and it was perfect, lots of flowers and plants. The food was really good, beautiful presentation, make sure to order the Stuffed Quail, Eggplant Souffle and Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass. Dessert is a must here i love the Creme Brulee Sampler We went their for the music, but will go back there for food and friendly staff. Don't forget to go to their website to print out a $25 free gift certificate, what a deal!!

I went there for my 24th birthday - by far the best one yet! The best food I've ever had. EVER. And I've had a lot to eat! Your experience in Hawaii just isn't complete without eating at this restraunt. The ambiance is spectacular. They wait on you hand and foot. And the drink are to die for. You have to try the white chocolate martini. Its so good, I just can't put it into words. Its expensive but definitly worth it.
Pros: delicious!, ambiance, service
