We went for my birthday and as soon as we stepped on, the employees started saying happy birthday to me. There are different decks and it gets more expensive as you go up. We were on the 2nd deck but the service was awesome. The food was excellent, the fruits delicious, and the staff was just totally on it, always passing by whenever we needed them.
During the show, they even spotlighted me and another woman since it was both of our birthdays and has us go to the front while they sang happy birthday to us.
It really made it a special day for me. Excellent staff, delicious food, and just a wonderful view of the city lights makes this cruise beautiful and romantic for any special event.

My friends from New York came to visit me in honolulu. so, my girlfriend and i took them to Star of Honolulu. It's one of the famous dinner cruise in honolulu. Their customer service is great! Food is also perfect! We very enjoy the dinner.
They also have a good hula show as well.
Parking is available but you have to get validated by buying something in Aloha tower shopping mall.
after you get validated, you will pay $2 for the parking. it could cost you more if you don't validate your parking ticket!
Recommendation!
Please be on-time or be there earlier , otherwise, you might miss your dinner. they normally don't wait for customers that come late. So, RUNNNN! if you know you're late ... .^_^
Enjoy!

I had occasion to ride the Star of Honolulu twice - once on the 2nd deck and once on the 3rd deck. There are a total of three levels and the higher you go, the more expensive it gets. I believe the first deck starts at $60/pp.
First deck is mainly for tourist and they have a lot of entertainment going on (Hula and Polynesian dancing). Second deck is a little more mellow and you get a dinner buffet. Third deck is like fine dining and you get full service from the waiter.
This is a great curise to celebrate birthdays and anniversies. Sail out to sea and put your routine life behind for a few hours and it will do wonders for you.

This is not an overnight cruise. It's a brunch and dinner cruise that leaves Honolulu for a few hours and returns.
I recommend this to those who want a low key day out on the sea. There is a hula show along with lei making lessons during the brunch cruise. They also serve a buffet of tasty foods including fresh island fruits. If you don't like making leis you can go to the top deck and just watch the ocean life. My husband and I were lucky enough to see some dolphins.
The ship does go by Pearl Harbor briefly and past Diamond Head which are both Hawaii landmarks.
Don't forget the motion sickness pills!
