The water park is a great full day activity for the whole family. There are a couple very daring rides like the "Shaka" and the "Cliff Hanger" and there is a keiki pool and a new surfing ride. The food is pretty good, and they do great birthday parties too. It is pretty expensive, about $30 for adults, but there are always discount coupons floating around. Try to go on a school day & you will have the place to yourself. On windy days it can get chilly, so bring a sweatshirt for warming up if needed.

Sea Life Park, is better than most animal water parks. At Sea Life, there are scheduled dolphins, and Sea Lion interactments.
For the dolphin swim, you must be 13 or over, however, families with younger children are permitted to attend a special dolphin swim designed specifically for kids. For the Sea-Lions, you only have to be eight.
Unlike at other places, you do not need special membership, for these extreme activities, therefore all tourists are welcome. Also, the interactments & swims, are available all year round.
This really is a thrilling once-in a- lifetime treat. You will be allowed to; get in the water with, pet, kiss, and possibly feed these animals. Your groups session, will be video-taped and have many photos taken, so you can remember your experience forever.
The whole family, will love swimming with dolphins and/or sea-lions. So call now to reserve a spot in an interaction!

The Honolulu Zoo is a smaller, quiet zoo located at the end of the Waikiki strip. The outside is surrounded by a lush green plants and vines. It looks secluded area but once you get it, it even feels like you're in a different place. The zoo has a decent number of species to look at and you can get pretty close to the animals.
Admission is under $10 so it is worth it to plan to stay inside and have a picnic, etc.

The Oceanarium is located inside the Pacific Beach Hotel in Waikiki. It's a 280,000 gallon tank that soars three stories high, visible from all three hotel restaurants. I took my husband here for a special Father's Day dinner and the kids were mesmerized by the tank the entire time. It's breath-taking, especially if you get to sit next to the massive tank. Depicting a typical reef community, it is the home to 400 fish and 70 marine species.

Any tourist and local should go at least once to visit this amazing piece of history. Go early, before 8am because it gets very crowded and lines to watch the film on Pearl Harbor get long. When you get in, you have the opportunity to get a ticket to watch the film. The ticket will tell you approximately what time your film will be and usually there will be a wait, depending on how many people got tickets before you. There is no charge so do get a ticket. In the meantime, you can walk around to view different remnants, pictures, models of pearl harbor and WW2. They provide earphone headsets so you can do a tour on your own but be prepared to shell out a $5 required donation if you want the headsets. It is worth it though because you will hear a lot of history and it will keep you occupied during your wait to see the film.
Once you see the film, you get to realize just what an effect it had on Pearl Harbor. And once the film is over, you exit towards the boat that will take you onto the USS Arizona Memorial. You will need to be quiet when you get there because you are essentially on an underwater graveyard. The experience is sobering, seeing all the names of the people who died, seeing the oil in the water coming from the USS Arizona, it is a piece of history everyone must experience if given the chance.

The Waikiki Aquarium has nice exhibits and attractions for all ages. They have an interactive aquarium where you can stick your hand in and touch the wana and the living coral. The seals always frolic and swim around or lounge on the rocks in their tank. One of my favorite exhibits is the jellyfish which look as if they are glowing in their tank. The Waikiki Aquarium is also a great place for holding weddings or special events. My sister got married and had her reception at the Waikiki Aquarium which is fun to be at in the evening.

We took our kids to see this, the oldest only 8 yrs old and they loved it. The don't allow infants though so our baby had to stay with her grandma.
This is a great experience for kids and adults alike. The tour guide talked throughout and was very knowledgable about the different creatures we saw. We weren't really sure we would be able to see any fish, but were fortunate enough to see some turtles and fish.
This is a great real experience for kids and adults though very pricey.

My brother used to love going to Jungle Fun located in the Ala Moana Shopping Center. They have a full arcade inside with games for all ages to play or watch. The prizes are fun and of better quality than those offered at Fun Factory. I think Jungle Fun is perfect for the mall so the kids can stay there to play and have a good time while their parents do some shopping.

You might think visiting a historical site would probably be pretty boring but I thought that visiting the USS Missouri was actually pretty cool. You can walk around the deck of the ship and look at the huge gun turrets on the front of the ship, which is pretty awesome. You can also go inside parts of the ship and see the living conditions and some of the cramped quarters sailors had to endure.
