This is a great place for people to check out if they are interested in local history. A place where historic men such as Aaron Burr have stayed, this quaint old house offers a look into what life what like in Bergen county many years ago. Tours are available for a small fee. It is best to call or check out their web site for times and prices. If you are interested, you can also host large parties here such as weddings or other parties either outside on the grounds or in another building on the grounds. Also, every year they offer many different exhibits such as a craft show and other special events.

I've been going to Sicilian Sun for over 20 years. The food is great and the people are very friendly. It's my favorite italian food in the world at any price. The lasagna and baked ziti are outstanding, the pizza is wonderful. I am not aware of them ever overcharging 30% on a bill as mentioned in a previous posting, it must have been a mistake. Our family loves it so much that we had them cater my daughter's wedding (at her request).
You can't go wrong, enjoy.

OK... There are some great sub shops out there but nothing can compare to the Garbo's combo. Fresh meat, great cheese, fantastic bread!! This is the best Sub you can find in the area. Located right on the main strip of Ho-Ho-Kus so it is pretty easy to get to. The people working there are fantastic and really get to know their customers who have been coming in for years. They also have fantastic Pizza. They carry a wide variety of chips and sodas and other pastas that are also great. My only wish-- that they were open on Sundays.

I have been taking my dry cleaning here for years. The staff is professional and personable. I had some bad experiences with some other places, but never here. The prices are very good. Sometimes parking can be a little bit of a pain but that is the only negative thing I can even think of. I have taken many tough stains into this cleaners and they have always managed to get them out. They are also very quick with getting stuff back. The only thing I wish is that they sometimes came out with coupons.

The Ho-Ho-Kus Pharmacy has been in my family's life for years and we still continue to go to this wonderful mom-and-pop store to get our prescriptions. The staff knows us by name and are always extremely friendly and helpful. I never fret whenever picking up my order from them knowing that it will be ready for me when I get there. Besides pharmacetucal goods, they also selling other items such as greeting cards, perfume, and stuffed dolls. I'm glad a place like this is still around that gives you the personalized touch whenever you visit.

Everytime my husband and I are in the Ho Ho Kus area we stop at Garbo's to pick up bread. Their bread is excellent. They also have a great variety of daily specials. My husband especially loves the combo sub.

The Hohokus Pharmacy has a great Mom & Pop feel to the entire place. I've only been coming here for a year yet I feel like part of the family. My wife, however, has been using this place all her life and has a very friendly relationship with everyone over here. And that's what makes this place feel like home--the staff knows everyone on a first name basis.
I really appreciate the professionalism of the staff and how attentive they are at filling your perscriptions. In the short amount of time I've been attending this place, I feel very confident with what I am purchasing--no matter how much it may cost--knowing that I don't have to worry about what I am receiving.
The store also sells lots of goodies such as candy, perfumes, greeting cards, and stuffed dools among the many pharmacutecal products readily available on the shelves. I even appreciate the fact that they are even open on Sunday, even if it's only for half the day.
I have complete faith and trust with the people that work at Hohokus Pharmacy, and glad that there are still stores like this that treat people like people.

A nice lttle store in Ridgewood, Rockport Jewelers definitely gives you the personalized touch with all its customers. A family owned store who are courteous, friendly and helpful whenever someone walks through their doors. Lots of selections can be made from the wonderful display for jewelery that they carry. They did a magnificent job at adjusting my wife's bracelet in a quick turnaround time at a great cost. I can see why this family business has been around for a long time. You can count on Rockport Jewelers to satisfy your needs.
