Comme Ci Comme Ca opened several years ago in Ho Ho Kus, and it caught my eye with its display of vintage paper-mache pumpkins in the window. I'm an avid Halloween collector, so I immediately parked on the street and ventured inside the shop. At the time, I thought prices were high--granted I was still living at home. Now I see that the prices are competitive and the gifts and vintage items are typically one-of-a-kind. If you enjoy shabby chic, you can find odds and ends to decorate your space in this fashion from Comme Ci, Comme Ca. Items that are handcrafted are worth their prices--and Comme Ci, Comme Ca has such lovely, creative items that it's hard not to find something whimsical or decorative to fall in love with. Those who love antiquing with enjoy the ambiance and wares of this store as well. It's a great store to visit when you want a unique gift for a special recipient. Comme Ci Comme Ca is a remarkable, tiny charming little gift shop in what is a very small town. They carry incredibly wonderful objets d'art. Sweet sweet romantic looking gift items wyou won't see anywhere. I bought a lamp that was mounted on a book wrapped in French ribbon with clusters of Hydrangea around it. I have in mind a grand daughter's flowery, wonderland of a room. This just isn't the sort of thing you'd find anywhere else. Someone very creative made this, its one of a kind. Its typical of the kind of treasure you can find here. PROS: A wonderland of charm CONS: None
