This is the place to go if you do not want take out and you want a sit down meal. They have a good staff and also make sushi. They have the usually chinese menu fare and the prices are a bit high but not bad for downtown hoboken.

The store has a nice selection of shoes and they have men and womans shoes. They have a fun kitty cat who will play with you when you wait. The staff is very helpful and will help you pick out the shoes. Be careful petty the cat because sometimes he will bite!

I recently moved to Hoboken from Manhattan and East LA has already become a staple. Their food is delicious - it's fresh, light, and doesn't leave you feeling heavy and over-stuffed. A huge serving of fresh homemade salsa is always served as soon as you sit down. The nachos are delicious as are the various taco salads (served with an unforgettable lime dressing). My favorite are the chicken fajitas which are tasty, filling, but again - doesn't leave you feeling "gross." The ingredients are always fresh and the service, although a bit on the slow side, is usually very friendly. A local favorite!

I moved out of Hoboken 11 years ago and now live in South Carolina and can't wait to go to Tunes.
As a matter of fact I'm going this weekend while staying in N.Y.C.
You never know what you're going to find and the prices are great.
Usually spend $100.00 or so dollars and generally come home with about 10-12 CDS.
The way to shop here is to just browse and see what you come up with,it's always worth the trip!

I read the reviews by others and can't understand what they are talking about. I used to live in hoboken and one of my regrets about moving to Astoria is that I can't come here as often as I would like.
I still try since I am a very picky eater. I have introduced several of my friends to this restaurant over the years and they have always had a good experience.
Yesterday, my girlfriend ordered "Lichee with shrimp" which was also quite tasty. Just be careful when you order the fruit dishes to ask if it is sweet cause you might get the cloying feeling midway through your entree. Thankfully we had my favorite dish is the "butternut squash with chicken" to balance it out.
Topped off with fresh coconut water, we were in absolute heaven.
Since the other reviews have a bone to pick about the service, I will say this. The service itself was good in a normal, non-intrusive but attentive manner. They didn't have to do back flips to satisfy us but I have come to expect decent service and get unhappy only if we have trouble catching the attention of the waiter like in Rosa Mexicana. In all the times that I have been to Satay Malaysian, this has been my normal experience.
The only time I had to wait for 15 minutes was lunchtime on July 4th weekend when the place was packed. That seemed reasonable to me.
Pros: Simple, Butternut squash with chicken so yummy
Cons: A bit of a trek

I first met Yermin while I was pregnant and having shoulder and back pains. First, she had a table suitable for pregnant women. More importantly, she really knew how to find the sore spots while making me feel very safe. I have continued seeing Yermin after I delivered. Again, she knew how to deal with post-natal issues.
I highly recommend her. I've tried others and I hate when they don't seem to know where to apply pressure and how much pressure to apply. Yermin does and she adjusts according to what is comfortable and helpful.
Pros: Gets the pain points; great pre-natal and post-natal care
Cons: None

Mile Square is a good choice if needed a TGI Friday's-like experience in Hoboken without the TGI Friday's. The menu has a wide selection of entrees that range from plane old American to almost Asian Fusion. I would not recommend the tuna as the cooks at Mile Square have not figured out the whole pan searing concept yet. However, the prices are decent, the seats are plentiful and the food is decent. Plus a wide selection of beers is always a nice addition to any menu. Great for larger parties as they have plenty of space.

I am lucky because Fiore is around the corner from my boyfriends apartment, but even if it wasn't I would go there all the time. The mozz is out of this world. Words cannot describe how delicious this place is. Go on Thurs and Sats to get the Roast Beef special. Be prepared to wait on a long line but it is well worth it!
