Ganache is the highlight of my Hoboken experience and has been a second home to me. Amazingly friendly staff and owners, Jessica and Keith, make your experience so special. From quiches to almond croissants to yummy cinnamon muffin... breakfast at Ganache is my weekend thing. Jean Claude's cakes are also out of this world. The Ganache cake and chocolate mousse cake are my favorites. Ganache feels like Paris in Hoboken (with a little of American twist of course)

After traveling from an area that does not know what a croissant is, we were delighted to come upon Ganache. This unique cafe delighted us with a wonderful, delicate and decadent selection of pastries and desserts as well as wraps. It was heaven to share and sample the variety while making a game of which was the favorite.
We were impressed with the selections of teas and coffees that complimented the exciting menu selection.
This little oasis is worth finding. Don't miss this unique cafe that offered us such a wonderful experience with a different twist on the word lunch. You won't find common here.
Pros: Unusual Selection; friendly service
Cons: Finding the location

Yum is all I can say about this place! I just went there after reading the rough review about the white chocolate mousse (made me curious!) I ordered it and it was delicious!! I guess different strokes for different folks! I actually met the owner (Jessica) and she was so nice and explained to me what the difference in sizes of the cake meant. Also got a free sample of a chocolate chip cookie!! Hooray for chocolate! I liked the white chocolate mousse so much I bought the bigger one for a dinner party I was headed to for Mothers Day and everyone was so happy!
So thank you to the angry guy for writing! I might not have tried out this place if it wasn't for you! I can't wait to go back!!

They lure you in with samples of their cakes which taste great, but when you buy the bigger cake for $28.00, you'll get it home and be disappointed, because instead of all of the sweet indulgent flavor you experienced in the sample, the bigger cake is full of really dry cake with a strange flavor. HEAVEN FORBID YOU BUY A WEDDING CAKE FROM GANACHE, based on these samples that ARE NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE REAL DEAL. These samples have about 1 millimeter of cake, while the actual cake is about 90% cake which is really dry and tastes strange.
I bought a white chocolate-moose cake, and it tasted like rum cake. not sure why, but the owner Jessica insisted that the cake was perfect and her customers agree. I reminded her that "I" was her customer and she needed to understand that she may be potentially letting others down by misrepresting the cakes she sold. I guess she considers only those who agree with her to be her customers! I told her the cake I bought wasn't anything like the sample she offered us before and I wanted a refund... I gave her the entire cake back. She said she does not give refunds and said she expects that if her customers spend $28.00 on a cake they don't like and don't want to eat, that they will just not buy the cake again. I told her that that is an expensive lesson to learn... she said that it isn't her fault and again insisted the cake was perfect.
She undermines her customers and still takes their money. I am so glad I only lost 28.00 on the cake, and not 1500.00 on my wedding cake.
Please don't waste your time here, nothing is good, they just keep brainwashing people by telling them we have a french chef Jean-Pierre!!!! and he and everything he makes is perfect!!!!
But it's all lies and not worth half of the high prices they put on their products.

The dessert is what brought me here in the first place -- a friend of mine had ordered a cake from them and recommended that I check it out. I was not at all disappointed. Their main draw is their pastries, but they serve Illy coffee -- which is the best, in my opinion -- have a large selection of muffins and these huge "overstuffed" cookies. I could spend hours gobbling up their sweets, all of which are fantastic. I've also had their wraps and quiches a few times, which we both very good. They also do catering and from what I hear, they do a great job with that too. Friendly service, nice hang out away from the noise and crowds of Washington Street. Parking can be a pain, depending on what day and time you go, but it's a breeze compared to dowtown or Washington Street.
Pros: free wifi, ATM, outdoor seating
Cons: parking

I have to say, out of all the cafes I've been to over the years, this is the one that keeps bringing me back time and again. Whether it's for a quick coffee in the AM, or an evening treat, they aim to please. The staff, especially Jessica & Keith, are without a doubt as stellar as their desserts (too many to mention them all - a few favorites are Strawberry Shortcake, Cinnamon Pear tart, and Pumpkin Nougatine when in season). But it doesn't stop there...they have wonderful wraps, salads, teas, and of course COFFEE! I've also had the pleasure of working w/them for a cocktail party & they came through in a big way - hor d'ouerves, desserts, etc...everything was PERFECT & they were so helpful & accommodating. I honestly can't say a bad thing about them...except that maybe they should be open 24/7!! I love this place!

What a find! My friend and I had a delightful, first-time experience at this cafe. Friendly owners Keith and Jessica Carpentier made us feel right at home as they explained the different desserts they offer. We tried their mini signature cakes like the "Chocolate Ganache" and Hazelnut "La Dome" as well as their delectable cinnamon pear tart (my personal favorite). And if that weren't enough, Ganache also serves an impressive selection of organically-grown, aromatic, loose-leaf teas such as "Shanghai Rose" (white tea with rose petals), "Burrough's Brew" (black tea with coconut), and "Ruby Sipper" (blood orange and pear tisane). And you must try the "Fiji" tea--green tea with wild pineapple and papaya. The wonderful fragrance of the leaves alone will have you ordering a cup on the spot! A wide variety of high quality coffees, hot chocolates, cookies, muffins, scones, wraps and quiches are also available. Definitely worth a visit!
