I shouldn't share my secret, but Talbot's has an outlet store on Route 3A that is great!
This is a REAL, traditional outlet, not one of the big outlet malls that seem to be taking over America. I have found beautiful suits there for $20 and less. There are often sales with up to 75% off the lowest ticketed price, allowing me to get items for up to 90% off the original price (yes, 90%!). These are the same items that were in the regular Talbot's stores with the original tags noting the intermediate markdowns.
The store also has a small shoe department and some kids stuff. There is a section devoted to samples (usually selling pants and such for $15) as well as a section of some damaged/irregular merchandise.

The "snug" is traditionally the coziest, most prime place in a pub in Ireland. The Snug in Hingham seems to have created that in its whole wee interior. Live session Monday nights and weekend afternoons, other live music other nights. The food here is really excellent pub food - burgers especially notable. Come often and they get to know you. Tiny - stake out a seat early if you want to stay for the music.

I can't tell you how surprised I was at how quickly this went up, and how many stores there are. I used to be in Weymouth fairly often, and the location was a sad Building 19, with an abandoned Bradlees on one side and another similarly sad building on the other, in the middle of an enormous empty lot. A while back I noticed signs from the highway for Barnes & Noble and Crate & Barrel, and finally one night drove in to check it out. The Shoppes at Derby Street is one of the nicest outdoor malls I've seen in quite a while - there are over 75 stores, in a big U-shape, with plenty of parking and several restaurants. The stores are large and well stocked, some well known chains (Talbots, Coldwater Creek) and some that I haven't seen elsewhere (Pretty in Pink, Shoe Market, Social Graces); there is also a wine store, Panera Bread, and a Whole Foods market, so you could get a great deal accomplished. Wow! I gave this boutique the highest rating because it is a 1 of a KIND FIND! This intimate store is nestled within the Hingham, MA Derby Street Shoppes. From the moment I walked up & saw the 4 GORGEOUS gowns, 2 BCBG & 2 Maria Bianco Nero, in the store window I knew this was going to be a unique & exciting experience.
Upon entering, I noticed the store was made for easy viewing-it is a very open floor plan & everything is so neat & organized! A few large silver framed mirrors are set up throughout completing the simply elegant feel of the whole store. The gorgeous clothes and the beautifully unique accessories are the perfect decorations for the store. All of my favorites are there-Trina Turk, Tory Burch and mixed within the racks were James Perse skirts and dresses and on the large circular table in the middle of the store were delicious shades of his new oh so comfy t-shirts!
As I began to pick up items my trusty and non pushy:) stylist took my items into a delightful dressing room-between the large opulent curtain drawn for my privacy to the large wall mirror I felt like a princess trying on her gowns. Since I loved everything, it all fit, AND the prices were oh so reasonable-I bought them all! The BCBG blouse, a few:) of the new James Perse T-shirts, and the Tory Burch dress will all be just perfect for so many things I have coming up this spring and summer!:)
If you want the best place to shop in the south shore, when you want to feel like your on Newbury Street without the drive or the prices you MUST visit Gia B!!!!! Happy Shopping!!!!

I hired Nathan Jollin Carpentry for a kitchen remodel and they were great ! They completed our project on time and under budget, and I can't wait to remodel our basement this coming spring ! If you hire Nathan for your remodeling project, you will be very glad that you did !
Pros: Attentive to the schedule and keeping a clean and organized job site.

I am new to the South Shore, and I recently had a wonderful experience at Hingham Jewelers. I went in looking for a pair of diamond studs. The staff was warm and friendly, and did not pressure me into buying anything. They clearly explained how diamonds are graded and really made me feel like I knew what I was buying. They were very busy while I was there, and as a first time customer I was very impressed. When I need jewelry, I know where to go now.

Salsa's has their own recipe for the most amazing margarita's. I would commend the Tropical Fajitas or for a lighter fair the Tex Mex Salad, but everything that I've had there so far is so tastefull and great. It is a small place but the service is great and most nights its the owner right at the door greating you and taking you to your table. Oh ya the best part is when the Mariachi Band ( I think thats how you spell it!) is there on some weekend night!
Pros: Great Food, Great Drinks, Great Service
Cons: Smaller Space, Busy @ dinner time

I needed a lot of help cleaning up the flood water after a pipe broke in my house. There was way too much for me to get by myself. But Flood Control was amazing help! They have all kinds of equipment for pumping up and drying out the water. They do mold checks, too, and clean that up if there is any. For water removal or flood cleanup, I'm calling these guys every time!

I had dinner here with a good friend the other night; her boyfriend works here and she has been raving about it. The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is great. Prices are slightly higher, making this a good place for a special treat.

We have been going to Old Derby for many years. Dr. Gorski took care of Phoebe, Dr. Warendorf was Hobbes doctor and his son's favorite cat when he was at the hospital. We now have another dog and Dr. Floyd is her doctor. She is very thorough and kind. She always calls us herself to give us the results of any tests that were done. It is not uncommon for her to call after a visit just to find out how the patient is doing.
We have been going to the Old Derby since the fifties and would not think of going anyplace else. We are looking forward to the opening of the new clinic later this year.
