This place makes the best General Tso's Chicken you have ever eaten. And, they serve yellow rice which as a distinctive, delicious flavor. It's great. The atmosphere is not great. You get a canned drink and not a fountain one, but again, the food can't be beat.

This restaurant is literally my favorite in all of the Triangle area. My husband and I go here whenever we have a special occasion, and sometimes when we don't. You can be as casual or as dressy as you want, but most importantly, the ever changing menu is always superb. We have always loved everything that we have ever gotten there. The chef delivers this interesting infusion of Italian and Southern food that you absolutely cannot find anywhere else.

Callaway Jewelry (Spiral jewelry) in Hillsborough is a real treat! not only do they have a great showcase of fine designs featuring precious metals, but they have a great variety of stones. I have bought several pieces of jewelry there over the last 3 years, and the ladies have always been very friendly. When I have had jewelry from other stores repaired at their location, they have always asked thoughtful questions, and the price was really worth it. Although they use an outside vendor for their stones, the studio has its workshop in plain view. You can actually see them do the work on your piece! I would highly recommend it!

Melissa Designer Jewelry is a wonderful owner operated store in Hillsborough. The owner Melissa, makes all her pieces right there in her studio and her work is displayed in the front gallery area of her store. The jewelry is absolutely stunning, gold with high quality gems. She has some pieces that use unusual stones and she also has all of my favorites amethyst, peridot, garnet and a great selection of pearls. I live in Chapel Hill so it's not far to Hillsborough and it's so worth it. I've purchased 3 pieces since my first visit and several of my close friends have become customers as well. Great place, thumbs up!

I had the pleasure of representing Orange High School as the county Teacher of the Year in 2002 and Mr. Murry made such effort to portray me as a musician at the baby grand piano in his own home. The photograph was extraordinary with lots of vivid greens behind it and he took the time to paint in cuffs at the wrists because I only wore a short sleeve shirt on the day of the shooting. From the county office building where it hung for a year, it has taken its place now in our home at the top of the staircase, and everyone that sees it is impressed with the effort and artistry of Kent Murray. I'm just so proud that I was given this opportunity and that Kent was the man for the job. THANK YOU SO MUCH, KENT!!!!! You are such an artist!!!

I would definitely recommend taking a nice scenic ride out to Maple View Ice Cream located between Hillsborough and Carrboro in Orange County. They have a nice selection of ice cream to choose from and it's all made right there from the very cows on their farm. Talk about some fresh ice cream!! It's so good you have to try it!

I have used Keith's company for more than 6 years, they have treated me fairly, been exceptionally generous with advice and absolutely fair in pricing and service. Their equipment selection for replacement is the best in the business and installed when scheduled and at price quoted. I continue to recommend these folks for price, service level and quality of installation and maintenance.
