We recently had our 30Th anniversary at Steak Street this past Saturday 1/24/09, which was possibly the best we have experienced in our 30 years of marriage. The fried lobster tail appetizer and bourbon fillet were to die for. The whole ambiance and setting in this restaurant is incredibly romantic for such an evening as ours. The live musician, Gary Woodard, was not only talented and mellow in voice but was added the perfect touch to make this a memory for the rest of our lives. We finished off our celebration with their warm bourbon bread pudding and simply melted away in this romantic personal setting. 5 Stars and a hearty THANK YOU to Steak Street, staff and musician for making this our very special night!

After hearing all the great things about Steak Street, we decided to give it a try for brunch. We should have taken a clue that the entire restaurant was empty.
The brunch menu is extremely limited with only 4 or 5 items(however, you can still order off of the full menu, but what's the point of offering brunch). I ordered the shrimp and grits, my husband ordered the breakfast offering of eggs and bacon, and we ordered a grilled cheese for our daughter. The shrimp and grits were TERRIBLE. They were nothing like traditional shrimp and grits and the flavors were completely conflicting. Easily the worst I have ever tried. My daughter's grilled cheese was honestly just okay (I'm not sure how you mess up a grilled cheese, but somehow they did). My husband's breakfast was good, not great. The muffins they served prior to the meal were good, but they were the same kind you can pick up as a mix in a little pouch on aisle 4 of the grocery store. We finished with a piece of key lime pie. It was good, but again, not great. For brunch, the prices were a little high, in my opinion. Our meal was a bit over $40.
I will say that the service we received was great, and that is the only reason for 2 stars rather than 1. We had a very pleasant server who was very attentive. The atmosphere was okay and would probably be better with other people in the restaurant. It was a little spooky being literally the only ones in the dining room.
We will be going back, but it will only be because we did not get to use a gift certificate that we had (we did not realize we were there the first day of the furniture market and the gc was not eligible during market). We will definitely only go back for dinner, though. For brunch we will stick with Liberty.

I love this restaraunt! The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. It is a great place to go after work for a drink. Appetizers are 1/2 off until 7:00 pm. The restaraunt is great for business dining or persal dining. You can always count on a good crowd, indicating good food. The daily specials keep you from having to even look at the menu! There is a cajun flare to all of your favorite foods!
PROS: Just enough spicy to heat things up!
CONS: Meals are mostly over $20
