This old time restaurant has been around for 87 years and never gets old. They have a beautiful view of the water from almost every table, a full service bar and seasonal outdoor dining. At certain times, they even offer clam bake coat rides.Their prices may seem expensive but not for the quality of seafood you get there. I read that they were voted the best crab cakes by the Star Ledger and I'm not surprised. Only minutes from Sandy Hook.

First off, I love seafood. Second, this summer I was on vacation for four days, and ate in as many seafood restaurants on the Jersey Shore. Of them all, the best was the last place I visited: the Bahrs Landing Restaurant. This place is cool. You have a beautiful view of the water and the marina as you dine. It is a very clean place, and the food presentation is EXCELLENT. Bahrs is a casual dining establishment, but in my opinion it outclasses most casual dining places. You can wear jeans or shorts and flip-flops if you want, but you can also dress up. The most important and best quality of Bahrs is the food, as it should be. It was quite simply the best seafood meal I had on the Jersey coast. The bartender did a great job too. The staff was friendly and I wish I lived closer to it. I cant speak for everybody, but this restaurant is one of my favorites.
Pros: THE FOOD! Very clean and modern. Excellent views.
Cons: I don't have any to speak of . . . It's too far away from where I live?

Awesome Mexican food, the greatest Margaritias, great atmosphere. reasonably priced, Chilangos brought me over from the dark side- I never really enjoyed Mexican food, but I now LOVE what Chilango's offers. From Their Mexican shrimp cocktail, the talapia dish, Chili Relanos, the signature Lamb chop dish, to everything else on the menu, it's all GREAT stuff. The best salsa and chips, 150 different tequilas, and the list goes on. TOO much great stuff to list on this page. A must for Mexican as well as non-mexican food lovers. Free parking, and 1 mile form sandy hook beaches. Ask for Leo the owner. Dan M

Off The Hook was a great place to eat. They have a variety of food...something for everyone. They have so much seafood but if you don't like seafood there are other options...which I got char grilled chicken over pasta. The view of the ocean and beach is also amazing.

The food is gourmet style and absolultely delicious!
Doris & Ed's is definitely a place where you'd take a special date, or celebrate a wedding anniversary or a special birthday. It's a quiet and romantic place with a window view of the water. If you get an appetizer, a dinner entree, a glass of wine and a desert, you'll probably spend approximately $60-75/person.
If you're a sea food/gourmet food lover like myself, It's worth every penny!

This restaurant sits right on the bay and boat docking is available. The food is excellent and the service is very good. The bar and dance scene is also one of the best in the area. Out of all the restaurants in the Sandy Hook area of New Jersey, this one gets my recommendation.

This restaurant offers a wonderful water view, excellent seafood, friendly service, and a very nice atmosphere. I love sitting near the fireplace--you can dine in a relaxed room looking out at the ocean. This is the first restaurant I tried oysters -- there was an appetizer of three different varieties. Each was so delicious I have ordered this over and over again. I have yet to be disappointed by any of the dishes offered. They have great tasting seafood dishes. They have a full bar and again, their house wine was so delicious I called them from home after dining just to find out what they use. They are even kind enough to make a special kids platter no on the menu. Highly recommend...this is one of my favorites.

Love the seafood they serve. Service is wonderful. The price is reasonable, but the taste is excellent. The portions you receive are very big. The atmosphere is very nice. Great place for a husband and wife to get a quiet nice dinner out.
