Dont go to this establishment on a Friday night if youre not a regular! There are many Bergen County restaurants that offer good food and a pleasant environment in which to have good conversation. This is not one of those restaurants. The food here is average and the prices are on the high side. As a customer who has often been seated in Andiamo's main dining area, I compare it to being seated in bedlam. Having cross- conversations with others at your table is not possible due to the level of noise in the main room. When I tried to reserve an advance table in the restaurant's small, quiet area, days before my dinner event, the owner told me to call closer to the date. I did that, however, on the evening of my dinner party, I was again seated in the main dining area. The quiet seats we originally requested went vacant until a patron occupied them later in the evening. As one who had patronized Andiamo regularly, my experience with its owner showed me that he didn't care if I didn't return to his restaurant. Obviously, I never have.

This restaurant in the middle of a residential area of Bergen County offers much more than the normal Italian restaurant. Chef Linda prepares creative dishes daily, made with extremely fresh ingredients combined in a not-so-average manner. The wine list is extremely comprehensive and includes some local wines. The owner Don is friendly, acommodating and always a pleasure to talk to. The food is superb -- everything from the catch of the day to the bar pies are top-notch. Fair prices for what is offered, but may not be great for everyone's budget. Outdoor dining is available on the patio in the warmer months, and there is a private room for parties. PROS: Great food; good service; nice setting CONS: Crowded on weekends (be prepared to wait an hour or more on Saturday)
