My boyfriend takes me here when I need a nice night out. The first time we did the lounge, I loved the food, and the bar menu prices were great. Our second time there, we tried to sit in the dining room, but there was a large table of cackling women, the waitress was very nice to move us to another table, but we opted to go into the lounge again. And after looking through the menu, and the prices, it was probably a good idea. The lounge is defiently the way to go, with a colorful, but relaxing atmosphere; Great lighting and art. I cant wait to go back. Pros: great food, great ambiance Cons: a little pricey in the dining room

We made a reservation via the internet and received an email confirmation. In spite of this, they didn't have us listed when we arrived. But they were very gracious and gave us a very nice corner table. Bread is baked on the premesis and was great, served with oil and roasted garlic. We both ordered the "deconstructed beef wellington" which was absolutely delicious--cooked perfectly and with a wonderful mushroom accompaniment. I had the warm chocolate cake with homemade ice cream for dessert. I'm a chocoholic and am always looking for the best dense chocolate cake. This one had a great chocolate taste and just the right texture. We found the service attentive and pleasant. Our server appeared at all the right times. We will return to this restaurant again to try more of their menu. Pros: Great food, good service

Not sure how they won the awards listed in the review below. I recently ate there a few weeks ago and was not impressed at all. The atmosphere was very nice but the service was lacking. Our server was lifeless and it was pretty obvious that she didn't want to be there. The food was good not great. I had a burger that was a little greasy. My girlfriend had a chicken dish that she said was "decent" at best. Would I eat there again, maybe, but I certainly won't rush back. I'd rather eat down the street at Loft of Joe Fish. Pros: atmosphere Cons: food and service

I own evenfall restaurant and wouldlike to comment on the previous review, I am disappointed she would write these things. I am happy however to have Evenfall named "The best Restaurant North of Boston for General Excellence" by Boston Magazine in their august 2007 issue, to have flattering reviews to our credit from the Boston Globe, Northshore Magazine, and the Portsmouth Herald.... please judge for yourself. -SPiro

My husband made a reservation for my birthday, because we talked a lot about this restaraunt but never have been there. For an appetizer we got fried callamari, they were very heavy fried and the oil was still dripping from calamari, I would say the worse calamari I've ever tried. Next we got Arugula salad, which consisted of 5 arugula leaves and that was all salad. Bread was cold and hard, dipping oil was tasteless without any spices. My husband ordered a "Beef Tasting" that was consisted of five pieces of different kind of beef: fillet mignon was so chewy that we had to ask the waitress to bring us another plate, but 10 minutes later she returned with the same plate and fillet mignon wasn't any softer. Service was ok, but nothing great. Food was awful, woldn't recomend. Also for the money you spent whole experience was dreadfull. Pros: None Cons: Everything bad
