This diner is located on Rt 17 in a not so convenient area. I stopped here one time on my way to Hackensack Hospital and thought the food was ok but nothing spectacular.

This Diner is one of the orgininal Jersey Diners and still act as a place for lonely travelers (often truckers) to stop. The exerior is very retro, reminiscent of the past. The food is decent, but... More
This Diner is one of the orgininal Jersey Diners and still act as a place for lonely travelers (often truckers) to stop. The exerior is very retro, reminiscent of the past. The food is decent, but the the piece of history that you experience by going to eat there makes it worth the trip.

This place had amazing pancakes. It was also very clean and nicely decorated. The prices were a little high, but the food definitely made up for that.

When I came back to NYC three years ago, I found this place. They have every kind of food imaginable, and they can cook all of them fantastically!! Bendix is known for "Thai-American Chow", but pancakes, grilled cheeses, and Italian food are all great choices too! Like their shirts say, "Get fat!"
Pros: inexpensive, empty after 7, great food
Cons: crowded on weekends
