There are not words to describe how good this bakery is! Everything that comes out of their ovens is wonderful. Really wonderful! Their cookies and pastries are delicious! Their cakes are even better. You just cannot go wrong with a single item you can purchase here!
The staff is always pleasant and efficient and while the lines can be long and the place crowded, you are always served quickly.

Southern food to a point. I agree the cholesterol levels in here greet you at the door. But if you're not on a diet and need to quench your thirst or your hunger for some good down south cooking, you need to visit Rajun Cajun.
The menu is quite extensive. You can order anything from shrimp scampi, to crocodile or just plain salad. There isn't another genuine cajun restaurant in sight.
The prices are quite reasonable and the staff is always pleasant.
You can call and order ahead or walk in and take out.
They also do catering.
There isn't another restaurant in Hartford that does whole fried turkeys like Rajun Cajun. Warning... you will need to order way in advance for the fried turkeys around Thanksgiving because it seeme like everyone who gets them gets them here. Yummy!

My grandma started taking me here about five years ago and I've been hooked ever since. The chowder is honestly the best clam chowder I have ever had and I go to school in RI and come from a cooking family so I've tried many. I always go there for my fried fish craving. They do it just right..Its never dripping in grease and theres always seafood in it Its never just batter. Best place around I really recommend it. The atmosphere is just as if you stopped by the shore and pulled into a seafood shack its comfortable, cozy, and laidback.
Pros: Best Chowder
Cons: If you dont want a laidback atmosphere..dont go

The inside is a little bit small, but filled with Irish atmosphere. ON many nights you can experience live Irish music being played. They have Guiness on tap and it is excellent. Prices are reasonable.

Only the diner part in front remains open. The wonderful buffet is closed. But Chef Thomas Armstrong is still there. Best fried chicken anywhere. Please support this excellent chef before he is forced to close. Top notch cajun and soul food!!!

Best gallery around, They usually have pretty famous artists and change often. Can often get deals to get in for free or at least half off. Great gift shop as well, like most museums. Can spend all day just lost in the galleries admiring the amazing talent of all their great artists. A very good museum for such a small city and centrally located in hartford with lots of good restaurants around and ample metered spots.
