Great Theatre 4/12/2006

The Bushnell in Hartford is a great venue to see a live show or play. It is historical- with classic blue theatre seating and a lovely painted ceiling. You will feel like you've gone to a very classy establishment if you choose to see a show here. They often get Broadway shows right after they head off Broadway at a fraction of the cost of the NYC shows. Also very easy to get to in Downtown Hartford. more

I had my graduation here 9/8/2005

I had my graduation here and it was a good place overall. Parking wasn't bad at all. They seat were somewhat confortable. The over all building was clean and well orgainized. It could use a little remodeling. Overall its a good place. The upper balcony is HIGH and you can see everything. Not sure at all about the price. The service was good. Everybody was nice. They were very friendly, they can also be very helpful if you need to find things. The temperature is good. (not too cold and not too hot) It was very loud in there. You can hear everything even if you sitting up really high. more

Love it! 8/23/2005

I just love this theater! I've been there on numerous occasions to see many different performances. They have everything from performances by the Hartford Ballet to musicals to performances by touring acts such as The Phantom of the Opera, etc. Parking can be difficult if you don't know where you're going, but is plentiful once you make it there. The building is old, yet beautiful and well kept. The three levels of seating are well organized and easy to access. I would personally recommend the front of the Mezzanine for the best view. Even better would be the "loge" section of the Mezzanine, which are the two arms that stick out from the Mezzanine and offer a spectacular, uninterrupted view of the stage. I also prefer the Mezzanine because it is self contained and has a giant bar/coffee bar on its level to access during intermissions. Every level has its own bathrooms which are large and clean and have plenty of stalls for all the visitors. more
