Hidden towards the back of a strip shopping center just before you cross the bridge into Main Street Half Moon Bay, this is more than just a pizza restaurant. They offer a full range of Italian and continental cuisine, gourmet salads and a fine wine selection. We went here recently with another family and found them to be quite kid-friendly. It's a bit small, so you may have a little wait. There is also a bar area up front for drinks and/or dining. A bit pricey, but nicer than we expected.

Best pizza in HMB......well the competition kinda doesn't compare. It's not really hard to beat Straw Hat and Round Table. My wife and I picked up a pizza after the ocean air tuckered us out and we were in no mood to dine out. Good ingredients(awesome pepperoni, rich mozzerella, light sauce) made for good pizza, hot and cold. We'll be back for this one.
Pros: Good ingredients, Good Food
Cons: No delivery

I also agree with the last comment - this place is great! My boyfriend and I go there at least once a week. The owners and waitresses/waiters are always friendly and attentive. They have awesome specials - the Rib Eye is great and they have a special called the "Big Fat Porkchop" - mouth-watering! If you like wine, they have a huge wine list. A lot of their wines are straight from Italy. The only place I know of where people rave about how good a plain cheese pizza is. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! this restaurant!
Pros: great food, nice ambience

The last person who wrote a review must have had a bad day.
My wife and our two children have been driving to "it's italia" from San francisco for four years.
We have had nothing less than a wonderful time every time we have been there.
Thier Chicken Piccata is to die for!!.
Never had better.
My kids love thier pizza(with globs of cheese and marinara sauce).
It's usually crowded' but most good resturaunts are!.
They have two waitresses in particular that treat my children like thiers.
Thier bread with oil and vinigar is so yummy that you have to be carful not to fill up on that before lunch.
All in all they are not a 5 star resturaunt but they don't claim to be!.
It's good food at a decent price and good service and cool decor.
Isn't that all we are really looking for anyway?

Pros: great food, go early
Cons: far from home, go early

After driving more than an hour and a half to dine at what I had been told was a wonderful italian restaurant, I was treated very badly. I was given 2 seating options. My first a table that sat nearly IN the doorway, and the door swung & hit the chairs. The second must have been a booth built for 3 very small children. After asking several times for an alternate table, of which there were at least 5, they refused to seat my family of 4 at a comfortable table & we left the restauarnt without eating. I would not recommend any family travel any distance to eat here. In fact, even if you live in half moon bay, skip the restaurant all together & eat SOME WHERE ELSE, where they treat family with respect.
Cons: Rude
