The bar service was horrible when they were actually around to pour drinks, the cocktail hour was okay, for dinner the waiter did not understand the meaning of rare and had my prime rib grilled to a crisp,and for the finale the dessert was a strange looking pink cake that was still frozen. Overall this was a horrible experience. I have been to the Tides before and it was semi-comparable to the Brownstone in Paterson, but now it seems that the quality of service and product has gone down the tubes.

I just had my wedding at the tides on September 21, 2008. The food was amazing! Scott our catering manager was amazing! And the hall was unforgettable. As far as price, it was cheap compared to all the other places we looked at. We got all the extras. We had our wedding upstairs in the crystal room. The bridal suite is huge. And the gardens are beautiful!

I had my wedding reception here so of course I'll think this place is amazing. The cocktail hour was tremendous and the food was to die for. The bridal sweet was so romantic with a built in fireplace and the Manchester room was very beautiful. My night couldn't have been more perfect, ask for Scott he was great!

This is a wonderful location for weddings and other kinds of large banquets. I have been to many of both here. The food is always good- not the most outstanding I have ever had- but bearing in mind how many they are usually cooking for, very good. You can actually get married right on the tides estate in a nice little garden. Very nice. You can check out their menu on www.thetides.com to see what kind of offerings they have. From some of my close friends that have gotten married there, I know that the prices are pretty decent- especially for what you can find in this area. One thing I do not like about it is that multiple weddings or parties are happening at the same time. Which for most people is not an issue, but was really one of the main reasons we steered clear of this place for our wedding. The rooms and decor are very nice and everything is very clean. It is a great place and there are no surprises which is nice.
