This place is a few blocks away from me, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing... I want to go there everyday! They have the yummiest chocolate chip pancakes, strawberry & ice cream waffles, and their Big German Pancake is huge but sooo delicious... I've been there 4 times (just moved into the neighborhood a month ago) and have not had a bad experience yet...
Pros: delicious food
Cons: can get pretty crowded, especially on the weekends

They have some of the largest and best pancakes in the business and the syrup is to die for. Along with their other menu options and strong coffee this is a prime spot at any time of day!

If you ever find yourself hungry in the morning on the east side of Metro Detroit, I advise you check out the Original Pancake House on Mack Ave. Hopefully, it's not a Saturday or Sunday morning though because this place is usually packed then.
They have decent coffee, amazing pancakes, and good prices. The waitstaff is pretty standard for a pancake place and the decor is very "Grosse Pointey". You won't find a better breakfast anywhere else on the east side of town.
I recommend the Blueberry Pancakes.

One of the best breakfasts I've every had. Be sure to order the large apple pancake - consider sharing it with someone - it is GIANT
Pros: great food
Cons: be prepared to wait

This restaurant has the atmosphere of Grandma's house. The food is all homemade including the butter and whipped cream! The pancakes are excellent and the food selection is not your typical Breakfast food. They have French Strawberry Crepes, Apple Pancakes, and the Big Apple which is a must try sometime in your life! The prices are a reflection of the quality of the food.
PROS: Excellent Food unable to be found anywhere else in Metro Detroit
CONS: Prices and the wait could suprise you if you have never been there.

If you love pancakes this is the place to go! I have never had better ones in my life! There is usually a wait on the weekends, but the line goes pretty fast. Don't worry, it is well worth it. They also have wonderful, huge omelets, crepe's, and their specialty a Dutch Treat which everyone should try once. The coffee is great too!
PROS: Fantastic food, coffee, and an awesome wait staff!
CONS: Sometimes a wait.
