Delicious Cakes are found at Josef's! The frosting was just perfect and the cake was so moist. I would recommend as a wedding cake vendor.

My wedding cake was just perfect!!! Thank you Josef! 4/25/2006

I wanted something very special for my valentines day wedding cake so I went to Josef's with a multitude of questions. They very kind and understanding and promised to make me a beautiful cake with a fountain and roses. When I seen it I knew that they had added the finishing touches for a perfect day! They are located right between 8 and 9 mile off mack. Just a little south of St. Joan of Arc church. more

Value! Value! Value! 11/7/2005

Josef did our wedding cake. He did an AMAZING cake at half the price we saw anywhere else. The cake looked and tasted beautiful. Our guests thought it was fake because it looked so perfect! The taste was great and they were so good about letting us have several sample cakes in order to pick a flavor. Best yet, the bakery has amazing cookies and other treats. We HAD to have some every time we stopped in. Highly recommend Josef's. One thing to be aware of though - no credit cards. Cash or check only. more

Not What I Expected 8/4/2005

Well, I live just down the street from this small pastry shop named Josef's. I've always seen quite a few cars parked in it's parking lot, so I figured they must have something going for them. I went inside, and the setup isn't too bad, classic over the counter ordering, take a number, you know the style. I ordered a few small pastries just to give it a try. I found out shortly that the prices are Very high for what you get. The pastries seem very dry, almost old. I did not enjoy them myself. The help there was nice, but not quite enough, they seemed unhappy to be working there. All in all, if I REALLY needed french pastry in a short amount of time, I might consider going here, but for the money, I say it just isn't worth it. more

EXCELLENT pastry shop! 8/2/2005

This shop is located on the border of St. Clair Shores and Grosse Pointe Woods. It is on Mack Avenue so parking is limited, and is metered parking. Bring coins. This pastry shop is SOOOO delicious! Prices can be considered on the high side but well worth it. Staff is nice, business is neat and friendly. There are small tables with chairs to sit at and eat, as well as to wait because sometimes, they are busy! They have a "take a number" system and things seem to move quickly. You can call in your orders ahead of time, also. more
