Just rented a Blue Bird power rake. Great piece of equipment. Staff was knowledgeable and informative about operation. Unit was gassed up, pre-checked and ready to go. Loading dock conveniently accommodates pickup truck loading. Bring your own tie downs. Was in out and out in a jiffy. Very pleased with first rental and operation of this power rake.

Jim and Carl's Barber Shop in Griffith, Indiana is the only place I've found that can do a true Flat Top Hair Cut. I've tried other places and they all do more of a "buzz". The barber's in Jim and Carl's are "old school" and they know how to do Flat Top's. The price is great, too! I used to pay 18.00 for a "buzz". Now, I'm paying 12.00 for the Flat Top hair cut that I wanted anyways! Also, they are quick! You are in and out...no fuss, no muss. They don't take appointments. You just walk in and wait for an available barber (there are 3 guys). The most I've ever waited is 15 minutes. I give this place 5 stars!

I went to G&G Hobbies to buy airplane and boat models. They have over 300 models to choose from. I was awed with it. The store is very well organized and very clean. The employers were very nice and helpful. I had to order some parts from my other model I got before. They were excellent in helping me find the items.

I went to Griffith Home Furniture to purchase a bunk bed for my son. They had tons of beds to choose from but no bunk beds to choose from. The store was organzied and okay clean. The floors were kind of dirty. The employers were very friendly and helpful. But the attitudes could approve a little. They had tons of other furniture that was very nice. The prices were great.

The Griffith Library is kind of small but it's very nice. I usually go to the Central Library and it's huge but not very cozy. The selection at the Griffith Branch isn't nearly as large as the Central Library but you can get almost anything transferred there if you need it. The only thing that you can't request is videos / dvds. You can go on line and look up books and put them on hold and you can pick them up at the Griffith Branch (even if they are originally located somewhere else!). I give the Griffith Library 4 stars.

Styling by Sid is no fun to get your hair cut at if you are a man. Sid, the owner, spends the entire time chatting and flirting with every woman that walks through door. I suppose if you are a woman, you would enjoy your visit to this establishment. However, for a guy that just wants to go in and get his hair cut and get out of there...this isn't the place. The hair cuts are fine...I just don't like the atmosphere.

This place has the best steaks and chops around. As good or better than any downtown steakhouse. I'd go there before any big name steakhouse on Rush street or downtown. Prices are way better, parking is easy, and the food is great. I recommend the cajun pork chops. They're the best! This place may not look like the best, but it is. I'm sure you'll agree.
Pros: Best Cajun pork chops around
Cons: Off the beaten path

I go to Terpstra's several times a year. I use them to get my tanks refilled for my outdoor grill. They are quick and friendly. They have good hours and they are also open on weekends. Also bought a mini bike from them about 25 years ago and it's still running! Can't beat that! Terpstra's in Griffith gets 5 stars from me.
