I've actually eaten at the Tavern quite a few times, though I can't say any of those times I went because it was the best place to think of. Normally I went because of convenience. Of all the times I've eaten there, I've ordered the same menu item 3 times. This is how I learned how inconsistent their entrees are. One time I loved the salad I had, another time it was barely average, and a third time it was so horrible I can still taste how bad it was when I think about it. Their food offerings are nothing special.. typical run of the mill choices. And their pricing is not exactly competitive. Once I ordered two slices of cake from the dessert menu to go and it cost me $13. All I can reccommend is to go here if you have scare other options, but don't make a special trip.

Awesome DJ company! John Paul worked at our wedding (guests were across the age spectrum, from age 8 to 80) and everyone had a GREAT time! My best friend (a college radio DJ herself) said he was the best wedding DJ she’s ever seen. Pre-planning was great; they were fantastic in sticking to the “play” and “do not play” list (despite cousins who really, really, really wanted to hear the “Chicken Dance”) – and as icing on the cake, they even surprised us at the wedding with a mix CD of all our must-play songs!

The locals really love this place. I know because I have driven past it a couple of St. Patricks Days and their parking lot is overflowing all over town. On the occasions I have eaten there, the food is always dependable, as is the service. They have live entertainment which I don't really care for, but I can see is well enjoyed by the types of people who like it. The restaurant has a cozy feel to it, with homestyle entres on the menu. All your favorites from pot roast to mashed potatos and steak. They even have weeknight specials. I know it is really basic, but for whatever reason, I really dig their chicken finger strips appetizer - they're always good. The only downfall about this place is that it is a smoke-filled atmosphere, and you WILL leave smelling the smoke on your clothes (if you're a non-smoker). Other than that, there's nothing I could improve on.

L'Auberge Chez Francois is a bit out of the way, requiring you to travel out to Great Falls. For city folks, it might feel like you're way out in the country, until you realize that you're only a few miles from Tyson's Corner.
But, oh, it's worth it. L'Auberge is charming, has wonderful, and opt notch service. Rarely stuffy, this isn't a Mortons or even one of the trendy places downtown. And, yet, it's a great special occasion place. It's romantic enough for an anniversary (I had my 4th anniversary dinner there). It's relaxed enough for a special dinner with an old friend. It's fancy enough to celebrate graduation, a big business deal, or a special birthday.
Yes, it's expensive. So this isn't the place to take your first date or to for a casual Saturday dinner with the kids. But it's worth it.
My only complaint was that, after being seated, they asked which of two special drinks I (and my wife) would like. We were under the impression these came with the meal, so we each picked one. It wasn't until we got the check did we notice they charged us for them (in the $7-$9 range, if I remember correctly). While drinks are rarely free, the way the waiter phrased it made is sound like it was included. Had we known, we would have skipped them because they weren't really our kind of drinks.
Want to celebrate in a comfortable place far away from the hustle and bustle? You can't do any better than this. Inn at Little Washington may be nicer and have somewhat better food, but for what they charge... you've better off at L'Auberge.

They have a wonderful collection of clothes for both men and women. It seems as though they always carry the latest styles and have low prices. Their clothes are unique and I always get wonderful comments whenever I wear anything from here. Beautiful and stylish are the best words to describe these clothes.

My husband and I bring our four cats and two dogs here (yes, we're overloaded with animals), and we couldn't be happier with their service. The only drawback is the fact that they have grown so big, so fast. It's fantastic, but some of the new staff members aren't as friendly as the long-timers
The vets are amazing, though. They're very good at what they do, and have great "bedside manner". The "Resort" is a great place to board and groom animals. It's a very clean, very pet-friendly facility.
The prices are high, but they're located in Great Falls, so that shouldn't be too surprising. And for the quality of care my pets are getting, cost isn't an issue.

There is no better place to take your dog or cat than Adams Mill Veterinary Hospital. The hospital practices the finest medicine in the area. Their vets are capable, competent and caring.
Take a tour of their Web site (www.AdamsMillVet.com)and you'll see what I mean. Better yet, take a tour of their facility and talk with their staff.
I only wish physicians and human hospitals practiced medicine like they do at Adams Mill.
Oh, and by the way, Adams Mill may not be accepting new patients. They're that good!! (Do ask to be put on their waiting list)

I went yesterday to this library for a child's program and I was really pleased. There were a ton of 1-5 year olds but the room (and the librarian) could handle it. They didn't require registration which is a nice change from most Fairfax Libraries.
I was also pleased with the selections of children board books. They were neatly place on shelves and at my daughter's level.
Lastly, I liked the little turtle by the front door in the cage until I realized it wasn't a turtle and a weird bug.
