This is such an amazing place! My husband and I have stayed here multiple times as have my parents...Garden Manor is so beautiful with its hard wood floors, antiques, exquisite landscaping, and unique decorations...definitely not your run of the mill b&b. I'm surprised at the earlier review...Judy has showed our family nothing but gracious hospitality going out of her way to make sure we comfortable and everything was to our liking. My thought is maybe the earlier reviewer is one of those types that can't be pleased with anything. If judging by her guest books means anything 99.9% love the experience! We've stayed in 2 of the 4 rooms (can't wait to try the other 2). One had a deep clawfoot tub and heated towel racks. The other had a luxurious jetted tub. We had free beverages in our mini fridge and hand made truffles in a sweet little gift box on our bed. We roamed her gardens (which are fantastic with the twinkly lights and shopped the unique shops just steps away. There is a winery nearby where we bought wine and sipped it on the porch. We even attended a wedding held there and it was breath-taking! I would highly recommend this beautiful inn to anyone who wants to "get away from it all"... Pros: great ambience, the service was outstanding, privacy, romantic, the herbal soaps were wonderful! Cons: The only cons are that we can't stay there every night!

We stayed here in May 2007 and found the accomodations clean, the beds comfortable, but unfortunately the hospitality was anything but hospitable. We were part of a group of people staying at Garden Manor and all of us found the innkeeper difficult. When we arrived, she was intent on informing us of the age of the door, but was not helpful to our host who was providing gift bags to the rooms. The breakfast was complete, but lacked creativity. Being on a special diet, I was offered bowls of raisin bran (no special cereals) and when asked if bread could be toasted--toasters were not available. Furthermore, decaf coffee was not available. The innkeeper did not check in on a regular basis while we ate breakfast, necessitating our having to knock on the private door to her lodging on several occasions. We have stayed in many B&B's, and found this innkeeper to be one of the least accomodating we have met. Our friend who lives nearby, will no longer be recommending it to her out-of-town guests. Pros: clean rooms, interesting decor Cons: poor hospitality, mediocre breakfast, food allowed to get cold
