When Doctor Sancho owned the place it was wonderful. I miss him and wish he would come out of retirement.
I moved my animals to a clinic in Lake Dallas which I would not recommend either so I am still searching for a veternarian.
No one can replace Dr. Sancho. I'm sorry to hear that his former practice is not getting good reviews

I have two very large dogs, boxer and doberman. We have been to almost every vet in the area until I found Family Pet Clinic. They have excellent care and very reasonable boarding. I can't have a pet sitter for what they charge for boarding. The staff are caring and gentle. I recently put my 13 year old doberman down due to kidney failure. The doctors, staff and support staff were all so caring and understanding. I even got a sympathy card from the entire staff.
Say what you want about organization, they are organized, take digital pictures of the pets and treat a wide range of animals. I won't take my boys anywhere else and highly recommend them to everyone with pets in the local area.

I am a fairly open minded individual with regard to cleanliness and timeliness and don't consider myself impatient by any stretch. So when I went to family pet, I was surprised that I was more than a little put off by the odor and appearance of their front office. The vet assistant at the front was not very bright and when I actually ended up talking to a vet about my dog's issues (she had a couple of growths that looked weird), all she tried to do was upsell to come back later in the week for 1/2 off shots. It was strange that instead of discussing why I had come there in the first place, she was already trying to get me back. She recommended xrays and surgery and gave me a quote of $500 or so. I told her of course I would have to get a 2nd opinion and when I went to another vet down the street, he simply popped the lesions and said I could put neosporin on them and she would be fine. And the office visit was less $ at the better place. What a rip off Family Pet Clinic is and I would never recommend them!

I love these folks! I transferred from another Grapevine vet facility to Family Pet when my cat came down with a serious liver illness that required surgery and a feeding tube. I left my previous vet because 1. I was told my cat's 'strange behavior' was an illness, but was due to not enough attention' (???!!) and 2. He has about the rudest, nastiest receptionist(s) one could ever run into. I can understand a doctor making a mistaken diagnosis, but there is no reason to have a 'window witch' as a receptionist. (Zero personality; doesn't know what a smile is; better-than-thou attitude). So I ended up at the front door of Family Pet Clinic and i am thrilled with the way they handled my pet: Stephanie the receptionist is wonderful! She has a caring attitude, seemed very concerned about my pet, was crazy busy, but stopped to tell me what was going on. The vet techs and the veterinarians (I saw 2 over the course of things) answered all my questions, treated me intelligently, had a friendly manner, liked my cat and was even willing to discuss 'alternatives' with me (homeopathic, etc). I ended up going with the Vet's recommendation, but i appreciated that they talked to me about possible alternative treatments for my pet. The cost? I've never had to have surgery for any of my pets, but it didn't totally kill me. They were willing to work with me. I don't know if the costs were reasonable or not, but my cat got better and is back to his usual cat-self. I give Family Pet Clinic FIVE BIG STARS! The staff is great.

I moved from Tennessee to Grapevine in 2007. I am so happy that I found Grapevine Animal Clinic. They are great. Annual exam - no problem - everyone was super friendly as we manhandled my enormous boxer/mastiff mix to accept his shots.... recently my old Lab came down with a fairly serious illness... everyone was so kind as we nursed her back to health. From the techs to the vet - everyone has been very kind... I would certainly recommend them.

I have had my cat about a year and a half, and the shelter where we got him reccommended the Grapevine Animal Clinic. I have taken him there a few times in the past, and always found it convenient that I could drop him off in the morning and pick him up after work. That was the good. The bad was their lack of anything resembling organization or timeliness. The wait was always ridiculous when I would arrive to check him out. Everyone there seemed to be on their own time schedule. Not to mention, I never actually saw a Vet. I didn't realize how bad it was until I moved and found a new Vet. The new office (Las Colinas Cat Hospital) is much cleaner and better organized; it's night and day. The doctor meets with you personally, asks lots of questions about your pet, and a yearly exam and two shots took under 15 minutes, check-in through check-out. The Animal Clinic just called to let me know my cat was due for his shots. Funny how his records indicate he is not due until March '08; just trying to get more money, or is their record-keeping that inadequate? I'll never know, because I am not going back there!

The Grapevine Animal Clinic has a wide range of services that should appeal to any pet owner. The staff will treat your pet as one of their own. Not only do they offer full veterinarian services for your pet, they also provide boarding at very reasonable rates. Our entire family has taken our dogs and cats to this clinic and we will continue to do so for many years to come.

This place is one of the better animal hospitals in the mtroplex. My grandmother had a beagal that she took here all the time because she has a bad cough. They helped this dog out so much including providing this animal with surgery and not very expensive surgery at that. The staff at this place is also very nice and i liked that. They are friendly and cureious they understand that people can love there animals so much and it is nice to have some one friendly around in a time of need.
