We had three children with us who really made a mess and the waiter discouraged me from trying to keep it clean. The food was great but the chips and salsa which were free I believe were the best I ever had at any restaurant. If you're looking for the Mexican hat dance you're not going to find it here. But if you are just looking to kick back and enjoy a fun evening with friends and family, good food (reasonably priced) and not have to worry about the kids mess, you've got the right spot. I have been to El Arriero a handful of times for lunch. In general, the food has always been very good, and very reasonably-priced. The ground beef, particularly in the enchiladas, is exceptionally moist and tender (melts in your mouth almost). I found that most everything other than the a la carta menu comes with beans in it, on it, or on the side (which is only good if you actually like beans). Many items do not come with tomatoes of any kind, so I found myself using salsa from the chips and salsa on several things. Pros: authentic food, tastes homemade, cheap prices, fast seating, clean, well-lit Cons: sometimes a little slow, not much variety on the menu

I went to El Arriero the other day, becuase I wanted flautas. Worts Ever!!! I had been there before and had Chicken fajitas, they were not the best, but wanted to return and give it another try, but I don't think I will be coming back. The service can be better! I wanted some rice, and the server was no where to be found. No smiles either! If you want good, tasty mexican food, this is not the place to go. Pros: good parking Cons: bad food
