The meat counter is excellent both in terms of choice and service. The deli is extensive; I've never had anything from it that I didn't like. What no-one else has mentioned are their donuts- they have the best in the whole greater Grand Rapids area!! And if you shop there after 5 or 5:30PM, they're half price- just wrap them up for the kids' lunches and put them in the freezer. Makes lunch-making chores more pleasant and the kids couldn't be happier!

G.B. Russo & Son is a WONDERFUL locally-owned specialty food & wine store!! They just expanded, doubling their size & product selection! This place is a century-old "mom-and-pop" shop with a delicious gourmet international food & wine selection. What I really like about them is that they are family-owned, & they have caring & helpful employees that will give you a more personalized shopping experience. I would recommend them to anyone that enjoys fine food & wine, along with a great shopping experience!

The store known as Big Top Market used to be called Lou DeYoung's Market (Lou DeYoung was the owner.) I believe his son, Tim DeYoung owns it now. It is such a nice little market. They have all sorts of food. This was the first store I ever went to that sold 'oriental' food that was not an oriental supermarket! They sell things such as octopus' tentacles, pig's foot, cow tongue, etc. All sorts of weird things that I would never imagine eating! Their fresh produce is excellent and they always have a ton of customers in their store. Highly recommended.

Bread. Thats all I can say. They make this bread fresh daily that will blow your socks off. I cannot remember the name of it, but it comes in a plastic bag with three round loaves for $1.49. Pretty good price. It tastes so good; Ive never had a kind of bread like this. They sell lots of other foods there too. Some are sold in bulk plastic bins and sold by the pound. Others have foreign languages on the packaging. I love this store and everything that they sell in it. If you have never visited, you will no doubt be able to find a half a dozen food items that interest you that youve never tried.

Kingma's is a the best fresh meat market I have been too. their prices are fair. You might a tab bit more but for fresh meat that you know is good, it is well worth it. They carry fresh vegetables from local farmers. They also carry tons of gardening supplies and reasonable prices on their flowers.

Art of the Table is one of the most interesting, unique stores I have ever been in. Their stock merchandise is constantly changing so it's different every time you go in. The wine selection is amazing, and the walk-in cooler with chilled beverages is a lovely touch for those nights when you need to pick up a bottle at the last minute or just want a nice wine with dinner. This place is my #1 go-to store for unique gifts. We are so glad that they moved into the area! They are helping to revitalize Wealthy Street and doing so in a delightful way.

Frank’s Market is quite possibly my favorite butcher in the city. When I’m in town, I will almost always stop by and pick up food for my grill. Since this market is on the Polish-heavy West side of Grand Rapids, they have fantastic sausages, bratwurst and wieners.
I highly recommend also picking up some “hot shots,” which are cooked and spicy snack-stick type meat products.

Meijer, as much as it seems like a huge, national chain, is really a down-home grocery store. Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, there's not a better place to spend your hard earned grocery shopping dollars! This Meijer is fairly clean, and most times of the day has an large number of checkouts available to get you out of the store when you are ready! Their produce selection is usually pretty good and fresh, and they usually have sale items in stock.
