Frank’s Market is quite possibly my favorite butcher in the city. When I’m in town, I will almost always stop by and pick up food for my grill. Since this market is on the Polish-heavy West side of Grand Rapids, they have fantastic sausages, bratwurst and wieners.
I highly recommend also picking up some “hot shots,” which are cooked and spicy snack-stick type meat products.

Cherry Deli is a brand new restaurant in Cherry Hill. The daily menu includes great salads and sandwiches (named after streets around the deli) at reasonable prices. Chef Scott makes several homemade soups every day, including his famous white chili. Ambiance is great, including the outside seating. Catering is also available at very reasonable prices!

Best ribs grilled outside. This is pretty much a take out place with a couple of outside seating. Ribs are grilled outside all year round and are the best is town. I think. If you try them you won't go any where else.

Van's has the BEST, and least expensive baked goods in town. Everything is baked fresh daily. From the delicious hot glazed donuts to the warm breads, it doesn't get much better. I should know, I have worked there for over 12 years. Your experience from when you walk into the door is very friendly and inviting. I urge anyone who hasn't experienced Van's to stop on by.

I completely agree with the other reviews of the Red Geranium. It is worth the trip downtown to have breakfast at the Red Geranium. Now you can also get the same great food on the south east end of town. They have opened a new location on Kalamazoo between 68th and 60th. I can't wait to try it out.

We had lunch at Zoup and I was surprised at the 16 different soups they had available. The flavors were wonderful and unique. My favorite was the Lobster Bisque. It was creamy and somewhat thick with chunks, yes I said chunks, of lobster. Yum! Their sandwiches were also good. If you sign up with them they will send you an email of the fresh soups they have for the day.

Art of the Table is one of the most interesting, unique stores I have ever been in. Their stock merchandise is constantly changing so it's different every time you go in. The wine selection is amazing, and the walk-in cooler with chilled beverages is a lovely touch for those nights when you need to pick up a bottle at the last minute or just want a nice wine with dinner. This place is my #1 go-to store for unique gifts. We are so glad that they moved into the area! They are helping to revitalize Wealthy Street and doing so in a delightful way.

The meats are always fresh and thevariety is wonderful...They have everything from turkey / ham deli meat, homemade chicken salad (My favorite), ground beef, homemade Churrizo, pork cutlets, marinated shiskabobs to whole chickens and hams...They also make a wonderful burrito and pizza for you to just pop in your freezer for an instant meal!

I recently found this by chance. I stopped in to see what is was all about. It was great. You can taste the wines at the tasting bar to see which one's you like. If you find one you like you can have a personalized wine label made for it. They make great birthday, Christmas and Anniversary gifts!!
