This is the place to shop for unique gifts for the person who has everything. Local artists sell their arts and crafts at this neat little store. Tile art, textiles, paintings, pottery - you can find it all here. I like to stop by at Christmas time - you can find cool decorations as well as neat gifts for those on your Christmas list. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and your packages are wrapped nicely after purchase. Check it out!

This string quartet performs regularly for Grand Rapids "Festival". Their performances usually surround a theme and last over an hour. A very talented group based in Grand Rapids would work well in any venue and occasion. They are professionals who do a great job of bringing to life a wide variety of music by different composers and styles.

Blandford Nature Center is also a great place for you and your family to go to. You can hike though their trails and look to see what wildlife you can find. They have indoor exhibits and wildlife care. This is another great thing to do on a weekend when you just need to get out of the house for awhile.

My daughter has been to several birthday parties at Bounce Party. They have several large inflatable structures for the kids to play in and feature party rooms to have your cake and presents in. You have to purchase any other food through them though which I find kind of sad. Parents must also sign a liability release before the kids can play. The kids love the giant blow up structures though and a fun time is had by all

More
The weekend ticket prices at Celebration are more expensive than any other movie theatre in the area, and I'm not sure why. There is nothing special about this place that you can't find anyplace else - save for the IMAX theatre, but that requires more expensive tickets anyway and isn't really a part of the main movie theater. The decor is quite garish, with crazy neon jester-hat lights, a bright flashing lighthouse-looking area, and ridiculous carpeting. There are two different main entrances, which gets confusing if you are meeting friends. One good thing is that there is plenty of room in the lobby for lines at both the ticket place and concession stands. However, if you want butter or flavored salt on your popcorn, they make you put it on yourself at separate stations, which are always messy (do people ever clean them?). This means that you can't butter or flavor your popcorn all the way through - you can only get the top third or so.
The seats are fine - not uncomfortable but not anything special. I can't really comment on service there because it is never terrible or exceptional - it's nothing notable, I suppose. Bathrooms are pretty close to the theatres, which is nice if you have to go. But ultimately, there is nothing that I can see to make this place more expensive than the other theatres in the area - so I go to the cheaper places whenever possible.

Celebration Cinema is located on the northeast end of Grand Rapids. One of the newer theaters in town, the cinema also boasts West Michigan's only IMAX screen. Seats are comfy and theaters are big! There are several restaurants and snack shops nearby, so "dinner and a movie" is a convenient date. Look for coupons, too, to get money off the price of tickets.

I live in the Byron Center/Cutlerville area. So, when they opened up this theatre it was a godsend. It beats having to drive to 28th st. They are freindly and prompt. It is very clean inside. I really enjoy their business.

Chuck E Cheeses its where a kid can be a kid. and an adult can be a kid too :)
I love their pizza. My boyfriend and I go on dates here once in a while. It is cheeper than dinner and a movie and you dont have to leave once your done with dinner to continue with your evening.
I love playing the games too.
you can have a good night and spend less than $20 for food and entertainment.
Look for coupons online at chuchecheese's home page and in the sunday paper. theirs always good deals.
And you can bring your kids report cards in and get tokens too. An A gives you 3 tokens, B is 2 tokens and a C is one token... It can really rack up if you have more than one kid!

I went with my son to the new Cinemark theater near Woodland mall to see Chicken Little. Right away, I was annoyed because of the lack of parking anywhere near the theater! I am just lucky that my son is such a trooper and didn't complain about the walk in cold temperatures!
Second, we could hear the movie that was playing next door to our right through the walls! My son kept asking me what the noise was and I was trying to explain to him while we were both missing much of the movie!
The theater itself was nice and the prices were very comparable to other theaters, but I definitely won't be going here with my children during the winter! I can't imagine hauling them through a snow-covered parking lot that far!
