Rainbow Resources has a huge selection of stained glass for artists, as well as beautifully crafted glass gifts. In addition, the store offers several classes for those who want to learn different glass techniques. I took the beginning stained glass class (two hours a week for four weeks) and found the instructor to be very knowledgable and helpful. My final product sits proudly in my living room! It was great fun, and I would recommend trying it!

More
Elite baseball and softball training is a great training facility. Our son has been going there for 4 years now. He does 1/2 hour pitching training, 1 hour field training and 1/2 hour hitting training for baseball. He has improved in everything since we have been bringing him there. It is expensive but well worth the money if your child wants to exceed farther in his baseball or softball.

The VanAndel Arena is a great place to watch a concert, ice hockey, arena football or any other event that comes to town. It is a huge arena that seats 15,000 and the transformation that takes place in between events is mind-boggling. Every time I attend an event at the arena it looks like a new place. The vendors carry awesome food and the arena is located in central downtown for easy access. Parking costs and food costs can get hefty so plan ahead.

I remember when the GR Public Museum was a small crowded building downtown, how times have changed. The GR Public Museum offers unique traveling exhibits, many regular exhibits, and the Chaffee Planetarium. You can even ride on the Carousel overlooking the Grand River. It is a place that school field trips are often taken at, but there is always more to see. I love the museum and what it provides to Grand Rapids.

I was at Carol Roeda's Studio on Breton last night. Right now the mall is getting a face lift, - but when they are done it's going to be beautiful. Carol Roeda's has the most unique things. My favorite would be the clay nativity pieces that you can buy. I have a complete nativity set and I'm now working on getting my father one. They are fragile and somewhat pricey - but oh so unique.

I live in the Byron Center/Cutlerville area. So, when they opened up this theatre it was a godsend. It beats having to drive to 28th st. They are freindly and prompt. It is very clean inside. I really enjoy their business.

We received a membership here for Christmas last year. We probably wouldn’t go as often as we do, had we not received this, but it was a great gift. I love the Butterflies in the spring, and the Trees from around the world at Christmas. The staff is wonderful, and eager to answer all of your questions. They have great classes offered year round for education and just for fun, and I really like the new summer concert series!

This is the most amazing place I have taken my daughters (2 yold and 9 mo.). I visited here last week and was shocked at the fun outdoor children's garden. First of all, it is a mix between Chuck E Cheeses and Six Flags BUT it is clean, only for kids, and educational! There are so many neat water toys, treehouses, huge sandboxes and a place to have a tea party. The cafe was delcious inside and had great kids meals. I will be back next time I am in GR.
One of the reasons that I think it is so great is that it isn't used so much that it is worn out. It is a little costly to go here on a regular basis unless you have a family membership. Otherwise, it would be run-down.
