This place could get a little overwhelming for a beginner but you must check it out even if you are only interested in scrapbooking. Their selection is huge and they have all of the latest products and techniques.
I like how they offer open scrap during the week with the use of some of their supplies. I've attended a Friday night scrap as well (6pm-midnight) and would do it again! The staff is very helpful and know pretty much where everything is in the store.
The prices are a bit more expensive than your local Target or Hobby Lobby but you won't find this selection anywhere.

This is a great college for the penny pincher. You can get just about all of your general education classes out of the way for a fraction of the cost at a major university. They offer a fantastic interior decorating program that easily transfers to Kendall College of Art and Design (also right downtown). The staff have life experience in the areas they teach. There are a lot of extracurricular activities as well and they have a gym and library along with many other amenities. Definitely worth checking out...you won't regret it.

I was on vacation in Grand Rapids and a family member recommended that I go to this school to get a pedicure. I was really pleased with the work that the students did and the price was out of this world. I would call ahead for an appt and wear flip flops. Also, they do not have real tubs and just use foot spas so be prepared. Well worth it for the price.

The owners have a great deal of experience running a daycare and that makes it a lot easier for the parents. They have several computers, so the kids are getting some technology training while they're there, which is so important in today's world. Easely Art is a awesome place to bring your kids and let them be creative. The nice thing is you don't have to clean up the mess! It is well worth the small fee for an hour worth of fun for your child. They also do Birthday parties and workshops. I have purchased gift cards this past week for my nieces and nephews for their Birthdays coming up.

Yes, that is really the name. The Home School Building. They have a bookstore in the building that sells a lot of current home schooling curriculum, along with Klutz books & kits. They carry Alpha Omega as well as other big names in the homeschooling realm. Certain tutorial services such as Grace (and a while ago there was Teenworks) are able to use the building. High school graduates can graduate at the Home School Building with a ceremony, gown & all.
