Grand Rapids Community College is a great school to get an Associate's degree or to earn credit for foundational classes before transferring to another school for further education. I take many online classes which have proved to be quite useful and flexible. As a single mother, these classes have helped me to spend more time with my kids. The prices at GRCC are much cheaper than any college or university in the area.

This is a great college for the penny pincher. You can get just about all of your general education classes out of the way for a fraction of the cost at a major university. They offer a fantastic interior decorating program that easily transfers to Kendall College of Art and Design (also right downtown). The staff have life experience in the areas they teach. There are a lot of extracurricular activities as well and they have a gym and library along with many other amenities. Definitely worth checking out...you won't regret it.

Well I went there to sign up for classes and I was mad when I got out of there. I parked in the bostwick parking ramp and someone decided to break into my car and steal anymoney they could find. Although I was not happy about that I decided to attend classes there and well see how things go in the fall. THe prices are cheap for classes. I wish there were more parking places nearby though.

If you are looking for a 2 year college to send your child or if you are thinking of going yourself, check out GRCC. It is a very nice college. They offer some great classes and they are pretty small class size so you can learn well. Prices are great for a college and they do accept financial aid.

I attended Grand Rapids Community College for two years before moving on to a bigger university. It was a great place to start out and after finishing my four degree I have decided my classes were more challenging there than at a four year university.
Community College is conveniently located in downtown Grand Rapids and at a fraction of the cost of some schools. I would check it out if your student is having trouble deciding where to go or if they do not want to go far from home

I have an AA degree from Grand Rapids Community College along with Certification for an Occupational Therapy Assistant. The program was excellent and the professors were very helpful. Only once did I have a teacher that was "psycho". Dr. Sims.
