We had just left the hot springs and were looking for a place to grab dinner. We found Mojitos, a funky looking Cuban restaurant right on Grand Ave (next to the hostel).
Feeling adventurous, we walked in. The restaurant had just opened for business. The waiters were extremely attentive to our orders, the chef himself came out to see whether we were happy with the meal.
And the food? Wonderful! We were blown away by the flavors and the richness of the meal. Everyone in our group was thrilled with their choice, from appetizers to entrées to desserts. I had the Churrasco and highly recommend it.
Next time we're passing through Glenwood Springs, we won't need an excuse to visit Mojitos.

The Village Inn restaurant is conveniently located close to the best hotels in town (Holiday Inn Express, Best Western, Hampden Inn) and is on your way to the Glenwood Hot Springs. This is a good place to go for breakfast before your trip to the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. The mountain tramway to the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is just down the street. If the Amtrak train returning to Denver is running late as usual, you can have a long lunch at the Village Inn while you wait.
Pros: Good Service - Excellent Breakfast Menu - Convenient Location
Cons: -na-

Burgers, Fries, onion rings, chili, buttered griddled buns. This is right out of the 1950's classic drive-ins, because this place opened in 1952. Where ever you are in the Western Slope do not miss stoping her if you want a good old fashion burger.
Pros: Everything on the menu is great
Cons: This is not fast food. It is cooked to order, so you have to be a little patient.

Tequila's is conveniently located close to the top hotels in the West 6th Street neighborhood (Holiday Inn Express, Best Western, Hampden Inn) and is close to the Glenwood Springs Caverns Adventure Park. Tequila's wide patio offers good views of Lookout Mountain, Red Mountain, and Iron Mountain. The service is excellent. They offer a wide variety of Mexican beers. Their lunch and dinner menues offer a wide selection of entrees. I had the Colorado Burrito with steak and rice. This is a good restaurant for a leisurely late lunch after a long and hot day of touring the Glenwood caverns. Visit this Mexican restaurant on your way back to your hotel from the Glenwood Hot Springs.
Pros: Shaded Patio - Wide Selection of Mexican Beers - Good Food - Good Service
Cons: View of the run-down and dirty Ramada Inn next door.

We recently had another dinner at the Bayou here in GWS. Love the ambience and the food - for being in the middle of the Colorado rockies - the seafood is great!

We made a mistake...It hurts to confess, but our family of four was in a hurry from Denver to Aspen and we decided not to wait the 15 minutes to get into Juicy's. We went next door to the Riviera and the "knock off" menu not only left a fishy taste in my mouth, but left my two boys hungry looking for a late night snack. Needless to say, we didn't make the same mistake on our way down. Thank you for taking us back, Lucy. We love you guys!

Great Place to eat and awesome BEER! The hanginglake is a rockin' mirco brew. This is one of my top recommendations for a local restaurant in Glenwood Springs. Here's their site, www.thehoteldenver.com/brewpub.html check it out... Other top choices Onion Rings with IPA (makes me sloppy drunk) Pasta with Salmon The classic Bacon Cheese Burger with the Stout
PROS: Very friendly service
CONS: Bar closes a little early.

Unbelievable! Every restaurant in town was PACKED but the Riviera Supper Club, and I have NO idea why. Best food, best ambience, quiet and packed with great original art that's for sale! The new owner has really turned that place around! A must if you're in the area!
Pros: Ambience, Food, Service, Intimate, Romantic
Cons: Parking, Small Dining Room

Cheesy forest animals and silk flowers keep you company on the patio - be sure to sit under an umbrella to avoid late afternoon showers. Good, if unsophisticated service. Our waitress was young and seemed inexperienced but eager to please. My dates salmon was mediocre and my chicken cattiatore very good. Run of the mill iceberg lettuce salads with too much dressing and far too many croutons. The patio looks to be a better option than the red shag carpet, smoky smelling dining room.
Pros: decent food, good prices, fun patio
Cons: smoky dining room
