The quality and taste of the pizza is good - and I consider it an exceptional bargain at a price of only $5. Furthermore, the pizza is ready within 8-11 minutes of calling it in.

No better plate of food anywhere. No better egg roll in the known universe. This Vietnamese-french-mexican fusion restaurant is owned and operated by the namesake. Every ingredient is fresh and flavorful; and though you may not want to for the sake of its beautiful presentation, everything on the plate is edible. Specials are amazing. Try the Beef with Crispy Grandma noodles--a recommendation for the uninitiated, or the whole fried country catfish. Your life is incpomplete if you have not tried the egg rolls. Run by a long established restaurant family, marinella's is a quiet, comfortable and pleasant neighborhood restaurant with attentive service and excellent basic Italian cuisine. Prices are moderate and the menu, although not extensive, is complete with specials every day. Every entree we have tried, which extends to most of the menu, has been very good to excellent.Their wine list is, again, not extensive but more than adequate and consists of well selected mostly Italian wines. Try their house Chianti for a treat.If you're looking for a little touch of Italy at reasonable cost in an environment that encourages conversation, you will be delighted with Marinella's.

Thipi Thai is a wonderful restaurant with a great atmosphere. Located in the heart of downtown Glen Ellyn, it's a great place to go after some shopping in town. It's usually not too crowded, which is nice and adds to the relaxed atmosphere. The food is fantastic- my favorite is the basil chicken. The price was reasonable and one entree is more that enough to fill you up. I would highly recommend it!

This restaurant has an interesting exterior and interior - very grandma-ish. The menu items are based off the real Grandma Sally's recipes; however, I think she is long dead.
It appeared that the restaurant was run by foreign individuals that looked like they knew absolutely nothing about traditional American cooking. Although the employees seemed out of place with the type of items you'd find on the menu, the food actually tastes good for the most part. The twice baked potatoe and seasoned french fries are very good.
This establishment has just recently started being open for dinner (previously a breakfast-only joint). While the all-you-can-eat fish fry is reasonably priced around $8, the fish is actually more breading than meat.

Glen Prairie is fast becoming one of our favorites; the cozy, romantic atmosphere is very beguiling. So far it's still enough of a well-kept secret that the noise level is very low, but I suspect that will change soon. The food is comforting, locally-grown and while there might not be anything to truly excite your taste buds, sometimes it's enough to have a beautifully roasted chicken or perfectly grilled piece of salmon. The French Onion soup is exceptional, but beware the huge portion! All in all, Glen Prairie is a restaurant I find myself returning to, time and again.
