The BEST Burgers I've ever had !!
Everything else is great also ! I've tried many of their items and have never been disappointed.
My Parents would go there 3-4 times a week for several years in a row before my Dad passed away. I never went there that much but, I'm sure I've been there over 100 times in my life.
I live in AZ now and sure do miss it. I go there everytime I come to Glen Ellyn

For the last 40 years I have gone to Alfies for the hamburger or cheesburger and never bothered to try anything else the burgers are that good. About ten years ago I tried the ribs. The ribs are as good as any I had at Naperville's rib fest. All the food is good but the burgers and ribs are outstanding. The menu is growing after decades of a menu I could memorize. Maybe in 30 years I might venture away from the burgers and ribs. Maybe

The pizza is always great. My daughter, who doesn't like to eat salad, insists on ordering the chopped salad every time we go to Barone's. The atmosphere is cozy and the pictures are always fun to look at as they are photos of an early Glen Ellyn. It is a very family friendly restaurant.

I think this is the best Italian around. The last time I went there I got baked mostacolli, and it was awesome. I also like their gnocchi. No one else makes it as good.
Their pizza is the best, too. It is very cripsy and flavorful. if you like deep dish, theirs is awesome. It is so full of cheese and very saucey.
They have Italian ice and the regular desserts like tiramisu. Theyre all good.
There is usually a long wait no weekends, so I think take-out is better. Also, there tends to be a lot of large groups and annoying kids. I know that happens when the prices are good.

I've tried most of the Chinese restaurants in the area, and this is my favorite. It is very conveniently located, perfect for take-out, and has terrific food.
I love their vegt tempura. They also do terrific fried rice. My husband loves their chief specials, especially the Lamb selections.
They also have a terrific lunch buffet!
