I love this place (and not just because I went to school with one of the owner's sons). The food is terrific, and the ambience is wonderful.
But really I just love their gnocchi. It's served with a fantastic vodka/tomato sauce. The pasta, though, is just so light and delicate. A true master piece.
Delicious, and I usually don't like going out for Italian (I prefer to just make it myself).

WE made mistake of ordering the normal dishes and they were flat. If you go here you have to buy a better plate to get the tasty variations. Atmosphere is great and service is very friendly.

Great Trader Joes here. Trader Joes is a good place to get nice quality snack foods really. To me it seems like the whole store is made up of things to snack on. Which is fine. You can get some really delicious specialty type items. They have some organics and other fruits, vegs, the selection is small but its ok. When I go there I basically get things like cashews, organic raisins, ie..snack foods. You could do some real grocery shopping there too, prices will be a lot higher though. I would go and check it out if you've never been to one, you will like the experience.

Thipi Thai is a wonderful restaurant with a great atmosphere. Located in the heart of downtown Glen Ellyn, it's a great place to go after some shopping in town. It's usually not too crowded, which is nice and adds to the relaxed atmosphere. The food is fantastic- my favorite is the basil chicken. The price was reasonable and one entree is more that enough to fill you up. I would highly recommend it!

Last night we ordered "Take-out" from this place. We had hoped for delivery, and their menu actually said they had delivery, but we quickly realized that they have been hit with business so hard that they just cannot keep up.
In fact, we were told our food would be ready in 30-45 minutes. We waited 45, and then went. Well, we had to wait 1.5 hours to get our food, but it was mostly worth it.
The portions were small for the price, but delicious. I had the best vegt fried rice I have ever had. Everyone loved their meal and didn't care about the wait or the cost.
Rents are high in GE, so restaurants have to charge a bit.
It supposedly is a very nice restaurant inside.
