I??????ve hiked through this Park many times over the years and it is still a favorite. One trail leads to the remains of Jack London??????s Wolf House. Along the way you can visit his gravesite and the Museum. Another trail goes up to the lake through vineyards and redwoods. There you can sit, have a picnic, and enjoy the serene view or walk further uphill and connect with trails that have fantastic views of Sonoma and beyond. There is a newer access trail to a gigantic ancient redwood which is a somewhat spiritual experience to behold. Your camera won??????t do it justice. The walks are easy to moderate and the scenery is well worth the effort. There are trails for horses, too. Watch out for their calling cards. Signs are posted that warn about rattle snakes, but keeping to the trails, luckily I??????ve never seen one. There are guided tours available that may get you into areas that you couldn??????t go into on your own.

In the middle of the country was a beautiful restaurant. We were sat immediatly in a charming dining room near the fire place with views of the river. The menu was creative, and priced right. It was the best food I have had from the wine country to San Francisco. I will be back (and the price allows me this priviledge). We were even greeted by the Chef. I had the best Elk and a "to die for" chocolate cake
Pros: Food, Dessert

We've been to Glen Ellen Inn twice and had a great experience both times. The restaurant is in an quaint, converted house which makes for a very warm atmosphere. The menu is always different and very interesting. The food is great as is the service. I highly recommend Glen Ellen Inn.

Great B&B overall. We stayed in a basic room and the only problem was that my wife did not want to leave. We actually mixed up our reservation and showed up one day later than our reservation. The staff were very friendly and were not going to charge us for the missed night (I insisted on paying something and the eveytually agreed to let me pay $100 for the missed night - about half our room rate). Really nice breakfast and very quite.
Pros: Great service, Nice rooms, Large rooms

Got married here during the summer. Very cute venue, outdoors next to a creek and gardens. Elaine the owner is a total pro and very customer service oriented. Food is great, and afterwards we camped in the saloon to keep the party going!

The place was charming: We stayed in the cottages and they were very nice. A large room with vaulted ceilings. (MIA: A/C.) A lot of amenities, e.g., cable, that we didn't use. A key amenity, the hot tub, which is closest to the cottages, which we did (very nice, partially canopied by ivy or wisteria). The breakfast was marginal - fruit cup, baked goods and a quiche which was gooey and unpleasant. Kudos for the pulpy fresh squeezed OJ though.
All told, I was very pleased although I found the price unreasonable for the accommodations.
I would not have been pleased with the non-cottages as they resembled barracks and were almost as overpriced.
Recommended instead: Staying at a hotel in Sonoma's main square. Definitely eat at the Girl and the Fig restaurant.

Benziger Family Winery is a wonderful winery to go to for a tour or just a wine tasting if you’re not so adventurous. We went in the heat of August and it was burning outside!!! They gave a tour of their “cave” where the wine is stored at a precise 52 degrees. We got to see outdoors where the wine is pressed, fermented, and such. Then the fun part came – all adults who purchased wine tour tickets got a free 4 glass wine sampling. Actually, they let us have probably about 6-7. They were patient and so helpful, it was the best winery I’ve been to!
