This restaurant is only open for lunch and closes at 2:30. The decor is Victorian with lots of touches and decorations. Right inside the door is a gift shop with many unique items. There is a Thomas Kincaide gallery in the lower level. There is not a huge amount of seating. You are surrounded by prints and laces and many types of fabric decorations. The food is wonderful. They have specials each day and the desserts are scrumptious. If you go after 12, they may be out of some of the items on theme nu. there is usually a sandwich, a pasta, a regular meal. Desserts are wonderful cakes and pies. There is also a list of homemade soups. the wait staff is friendly and courteous and very helpful. A meal runs between $7 and $10. the town is located on a back road south and west of Ottawa and may be hard to find. The search is worth it however, since the ambiance is awesome. the parking is available along the street in front of the restaurant. Parking is not a problem because it is such a small town. Make reservations before a holiday since groups sometimes reserve the whole restaurant for gatherings.
