Don't know what the last few people were talking about. Unless they went on an 'off' night, I found everything to be wondreful. The pizza and calzones were awesome. Even the salads, which aren't really a NY thing or a Anywhere thing were great. Okay, so it didn't taste my my local place back home, it was still great stuff. You got to try their frozen drink thingies. I got the Creamsicle, oaky 2. man was that good!
I give it a thumbs up in my opinion. I don't know what part of NY those last few people lived in or how to make the one guy happy (seems like he didn't like any place he went to), tut this was some goooooooooooood food!
Pros: Fun, family type place. Entertaining!
Cons: Need one closer to where I live, but will make the trip again.

It was good but nothing special. I highly doubt that this is what real authentic New York style pizza taste like.

The search continues... I recently moved to the basin from New York and while I enjoy the Mexican fair, I miss REAL Pizza more than anything else from the North East... even the fall foliage. I looked up Pizza reviews online and saw that Nicantoni's was #2 in the valley, so I tried it last night (11/20) (at the Gilbert location). I bought 2 pies... one cheese and one meatball and olive. My wife and I decided that the pizza was about on par with the pizza that you get from Chuck E. Cheese back east.... not very good, only a small step above Pizza Hut. We decided that the problem was the crust... which is nothing at all like real pizza crust. The Pizza also was not nearly as greasy as a real New York Pizza. Overall I have to say the search for real Pizza continues. Nicantoni's might be a good alternative for Domino's but if you're from the northeast don't believe the claim that this is real New York Pizza, because it is not.

new york city girl you really dont have any taste bud's you must have lived in mexico or something
arizona this really is the best pizza ever made.. wow even better than back east ....NYC. MA...FLA..RI..VA..NH
etc.. I have lived here now for 5 years i have tried the BIG Company pizza's and even tried the small ones
and let me tell you ..Nicantoni's is by far "The Best"
1. the service
They greet Every Customer with a smile, even the regular customers by name ..big company's dont do that
2. the food
always cooked the way YOU like it. if you like the crust softer just ask im sure they will do it
my favorite pizza is there ricotta cheese omg it's to die for. Highly recommed it..and for a side try there jalopeno popper's Mmm there good.
3. the walls
back east you have checkerd walls traditional red and white Boring... here the walls are a dark purple with splashes of color on them definately a relief for sore eyes.. oh and would any of the other companys let you even sign your name on there wall I DONT THINK SO..find my name im jim from boston
4.the point is
No matter where you are from or how you like your food Nicantoni's really is the best pizza you'll ever have with the a friendly service ,great atmosphere and the Quality you expect
Pros: it's simple everything
Cons: were reading the reviews on here "can't please them all"

WOW!! I would have rather taken my family to McDonalds and ate off the dollar menu. Not only is the service HORRIBLE ( staff is very careless, un-friendly & not too great to look at ) but the pizza made me sick to my stomach! LITERALLY! We made a 30 min drive to this " fabulous " NY style pizza place & were EXTREMELY dissapointed. I had to take advil while eating just because the hideous purple wall's gave me a headache! Watch barney much? I'm from NY & I am ashamed that people think this is how us New Yorkers eat & like our pizza. It's wrong that this place can say they have " authentic NY style pizza ".Their toppings were cold & bland. We ordered a sausage pizza and the sausage was cold, crumbled up & tasted as if it had been sitting out for days. DO NOT GO THERE!!! It is a hole in the wall and not worth the money at all!! There is a reason it's dead on a Saturday night people!! Hopefully one day I will find " authentic NY style pizza " in Arizona!
Pros: It had a couple TV's & the table's were cool
Cons: everything!

I was not a pizza fan, but my daughter was. We had heard that Nicantoni's had good pizza, so I reluctantly took my child their for dinner one night. I still do not like pizza that much with the exceptions on Nicantoni's... it is the only pizza I will eat. If I could afford to buy it every night I would. The pizza is perfectly done... not too much.. not too little..great flavor.
Pros: Great place to go and relax, staff is extremely friendly
Cons: none

The worst pizza I have ever had in my life. The sauce was beyond boring, the toppings had no flavor whatsoever! The crust was burnt and when I called to ask if it was normal, they said "YES"! Thanks for the cardboard! Even though we paid $15 for this, we didn't want to waist our calories on bad pizza. Hopefully the homeless will enjoy it at least.

I was told the pizza was great but I hadn't eaten there until I was invited to join some friends.Well, all I can say about the pizza is, after the first bite I knew this pizza was going to be a real treat. For me NnT's is the place (worth traveling to) to get the BEST pizza I have tasted anywhere in the Valley... The only way to know what I mean would be to go and try it, then when you get home jump on the laptop and write your own review about what a great pizza you just ate...
